Mmmm, Girthy.

If you or your partner like a large-ish sized partner, look no further. This is a decently sized(7.5" insertable length, 1.5" diameter), very firm, silicone dildo. It works very well with an O-ring type harness, and is also made to work with the Vac-U-Loc system.
Published:
Pros
o-ring or vac-u-loc harness compatible, body safe, sterilizable, girthy, affordable.
Cons
Size may be intimidating. Probably not made for people unused to penetration, extremely rigid.

extremely useful review
The Doc Johnson Vac-U-Loc original is rather a big cock, in my opinion. It looks like it would be so large as to be uncomfortable for someone used to an average sized man-friend. It came with a harness I bought, and I admit, I didn't think it would ever get used... in me or anyone else, once I saw it in person. I had read the dimensions when I placed my order, but once it was in my living room... I didn't quite know what to do with it. I used it as a lint brush for a while. It works reasonably well for that purpose. It's made of silicone, and it has a...grippy texture. I mean, It's totally smooth, slick silicone, and with a little lube... or if you're already really fired up, it'll slide in nicely. But as with most silicone toys, it is rather a magnet for dust, lint, pet hair, etc. I'm not kidding when I tell you that I have actually used it to remove cat hair from my shirt before work! You'll definitely want to wash it both before and after use... You do that anyway, though, right? I don't have to tell you that.
As it turns out, it's really not too big-n-bad. I have had it inserted in myself, and have used it with others (vaginally) and had no complaints about the size. I did try and use it anally with one of my boyfriends who likes anal penetration, and he found it to be "a bit too much" when we debriefed afterwards. Even though this is an adult site, I can't feel right telling you what he actually said when I tried to penetrate him with it. Suffice it to say, he didn't like it, and I had to stop. This is a realistic dildo. It has veins, ridges, and overall can not be said to resemble anything other than a penis. Mine is a pearlescent pink color, but at the end of the day (hell, even at the beginning of the day) it looks like what it is: a dildo.

The dimensions of this cock are as follows:
Total Length: 8"
Insertable length: 7 1/2"
Circumference: 5 1/4"
Diameter: 1 1/2"
Harness compatibility: O-ring compatible / Vac-u-lock compatible.
Weight: 12 oz

It is made of 100% silicone and is body safe and sterilizable by boiling, soaking in 10% bleach solution, or washing on the top shelf of the dishwasher. It is recommended that you sterilize between partners and between anal and vaginal use. Because of the indentation meant for the Vac-U-Loc plug, this writer recommends boiling or bleaching, so that that area gets sanitized as well.

Because this toy is made of 100% silicone, one should NEVER use silicone lube (check your lubed condoms, too... they often have silicone based lubes) or store this toy touching other silicone toys. It can cause the silicone to degrade, and who wants that!?

I find that too much thrusting with this dildo does cause a little soreness for me due to the ridges and "veins". This dildo is definitely nowhere near as squishy as an actual, human penis. It has no "give". you can bend it a little, but it's not easy to do. It's very firm.

All in all, I would say that if you like a slightly larger than average sized cock, you will probably like this dildo. I like it and definitely recommend it. Also, at $34.99 for a silicone dildo, the price is pretty okay.
Experience
I once had a meet arranged with a fun couple, and they asked me to bring my harness and both of the cocks that I had at the time. The Doc Johnson Original was one of them. I use an o-ring harness- not the Vac-U-Loc one, and it works very well, as it has a nice flared base. There is the added bonus for o-ring harness users, or those of us using this as a dildo for solo pleasure, that there is the cavity for the Vac-U-Loc attachment. You can also insert a little bullet vibrator in there for extra fun times. One note about that... the hole is pretty tight. If the bullet is difficult to get in, use some lube, or you'll never get it back out. You can put the bullet inside a condom to make it easier to remove. But, as usual, I digress. When I was there, playing with my friends, he wanted to use this dildo to penetrate me (vaginally). I admit, I was terrified. I asked him to use plenty of lube and go slowly. He did, and soon I was rocking back to meet his thrusts. After the initial shock of a larger-than-I-was-used-to cock, it felt quite nice. Very filling, and with the lube it slid in and out just fine. I also used it with my harness to fuck the lady of the couple, and she used it (with a harness) to fuck me. I found it enjoyable both ways. I didn't mention this during the narrative, but condoms were used, and changed between partners! Do this. It's safer this way. Alternatively, since this is a silicone dildo, you can boil it, soak it in 10% bleach solution, or put it in the top rack of the dishwasher (I have never done this, myself. I prefer boiling, and don't own a dishwasher) to sterilize it. Typically I will boil any silicone toys if I go between anal and vaginal penetration (I have not ever successfully used this dildo anally myself, or with any of my partners) or when switching between partners. If I'm just using it by myself, vaginally I use a toy cleaner and then wash that off with soap and hot water.
Follow-up commentary
Not that I really don't like this dildo anymore, but It's fallen to the bottom of my toy box. I've been spending time lately exploring:
1)Male partners who are intimidated by it's size
and
2)Things that vibrate.

Were I to have an encounter with someone who was into the size of this cock, I'd happily bust it out, and were I to find myself in the company of a lady (or man even) who wanted to do me with it, I'd be all for it. I'm just not in that place right now.
