This toy was definitely designed
There isn't much to say about O-rings really. They are metal and can be used for harness use or as
cock rings (please don't try this if you haven't used a
cock ring before, instead start with something that is easy to get off in case you need to). The three rings come in either gold or silver color (mine are silver). The smallest is tiny measuring 1 1/4 inches in diameter, the middle size is 1 1/2 inch, and the largest of the three is 2 inches.
I bought these primarily for use with my harness, and they work as well as any metal O-rings would. I must mention that these are not endless circles. I have not noticed this causing a problem in anyway, but more expensive O-rings would not have this flaw. These are cheap enough though, that I can't complain. When using these for holding dildos in a harness, remember that you'll need an
O-ring that is slightly larger than the dildo you plan on using it for.
My husband has used the 2 inch ring as a cock ring, and it was his first experience with something metal. He has used stretchy rings and snapping cock straps, and was pretty comfortable with the idea before he used the metal one. I really wouldn't suggest trying to use any of the smaller rings for cock rings because they really are too small for the average sized penis. My husband wears the ring as cock rings are traditionally meant to be worn, that is over cock AND balls. This MUST be done when flaccid or mostly flaccid. Don't even attempt to put this on an erect penis, trust me, it won't go on. How you put this on, is carefully put one testicle through the ring then ease the other one through as well. Once your balls are in place, you gently push your flaccid (limp) penis through the ring as well. Don't keep a cock ring on for more than 20 minutes at a time so you don't risk permanently injuring yourself.
My husband found the ring to be comfortable, and did not notice the seam at all while the ring was in use. The metal is sexy looking, and this would be a good cheap alternative to some of the higher end cock rings just to see if metal is something you are into. My husband’s girth is an average size of 1 1/2 inches and he found the tightness to be just right. It wasn't so tight as to be uncomfortable, but it was still tight enough to provide a harder erection.
Over all, I would have to say that these rings are worth it whether you want them for harness use or
cock jewelry. Maybe you’re like my husband and just wanted to make sure metal was really something worth investing in before going out and buying a
Gear Essentials cock ring. Either way, the price on these is nice, and we’ve been very pleased with ours. If I ever notice any wear and tear, I will post in a follow up review.
Good point- way to try cheaper metal cock rings. I figured the seam might be uncomfortable, but glad it worked out.
I've noticed tarnishing on all the metal o-rings I own, over time, and I would imagine these have the same problem. That's why they're cheap, though.
I figured that they will probably tarnish over time, kinda to be expected from this price range though. Thanks for the comment CW :)
Great review Bulma! We're kind of undecided on whether or not to try a metal cock ring but, this would be an inexpensive way to find out!
Yeah, some of the metal cock rings are expensive, very sexy, but freakin' expensive.
Wow! I'm so cautious of metal cock rings after some conversations with a fireman. I'm glad that you gave some careful instructions about putting them on and use of size. Perhaps Cock Wrangler can add a few pointers for what to do if you put a cock ring on directly on your cock and balls on a flaccid cock and then later find that your erection is not going down! My fireman friend was regularly telling me stories of men that tried metal rings from the hardware store of various sizes because they loved the feeling- then ended up shall we say *embarrassed, uncomfortable and in trouble.* They never looked for help quickly either.
That would be one of the main reasons to not buy a ring too small (or taking a long time and leaving it on longer than 20 minutes). Measuring around a fully erect penis and the balls is a must before deciding what size cock ring to buy. If the ring for some reason should happen to get stuck, try applying a cold press (like a sack of frozen peas, or ice in a Ziploc bag). That should help the swelling go down and diminish the erection. If that doesn't do it, then yeah, the guy should go to the hospital ASAP to get it cut off. Getting something like that stuck is exactly why research prior to purchase is so important.
Hope that helped some.
I don't think the metal rings are for me! I have a friend that ended up in the ER and had to have blood drawn out of his penis with a syringe to make his erection go down from metal cock rings and he says it wasn't too small or the first time he had used it!
That sounds like a very scary experience, but I am confident that when used correctly (right size, and taken off after 20 minutes) that there is a very small chance of a metal cock ring doing damage. I am curious if the size was not too small (did he measure to find the right fit?), how the ring would have posed a problem for your friend? Did he leave it on too long? When wearing a cock ring (metal or stretchy) it is very important to take the ring off if numbness or unusual color changes occur. Of course everyone has heard horror stories (whether in real life or on the internet or tv) however when used correctly, cock rings are pretty safe. As long as the guy pays attention to how his penis feels and has taken the proper steps to ensuring a correct fit. Of course using cock rings (metal or other) is a very personal choice.
My husband was scared of using a metal cock ring a couple years ago, and actually was pretty apprehensive of the jelly ones as well. After some experience with the snap on kinds though, he gained more experience and confidence. Once he felt ready to try a metal ring, we did a good amount of research regarding cock ring usage and proper fitting. My husband finds the metal is much more comfortable than a jelly ring, because it does not squeeze on him. The size stays the same and does not put as much force on his penis. This is definitely an area where caution and research are an important part of the purchase process. Don't forget that these rings are also great for harness use, not just for a flesh and blood cock :)
Yes- Bulma pretty much covered cock ring safety. I always recommend trying snap rings or very stretchy ones first, to get an idea of how they feel, how an individual's body reacts to them, etc. Metal cock rings are a step up- and not a step everyone can or should take. Sizing is very important.
Wow, there is some very good information in here. My experience with metal cock rings is very limited, but I know I'm going to very careful before putting something on my junk that has no give to it. I have, however used them with the harness and like how stable they are. Glad this worked out for your hubby, Bulma. Thanks for another great review.
Thanks Jimbo Jones! My husband definitely likes that the metal doesn't squeeze as bad as some of the stretchy rings can. I was honestly very surprised that he was so enthralled with metal after trying one of these. Time to shell out the big bucks for a Gear Essentials cock ring now ;)
You are so right! Err your husband is...metal doesn't squeeze as metal does and feels a hell of a lot better then soft material..not a contradiction in this case as per my b/f. But yes start w the 2" it works!
