Use

The Grrl Toyz Strap-on Dong is a large silicone dildo that is primarily intended for use with a harness. While perfect in or out of the harness, this one truly shines for partner strap-on play. It sits with exceptional sturdiness due to its suction cup base and its smooth set of testicles anchoring it from below and is virtually slip-free. The wide base ensures that this can safely be used for anal play without it slipping inside completely and irretrievably. And vaginally or anally, this thick curved shaft and softly bulging head are perfect for firm and filling stimulation. Because the shaft slopes at a wide angle you may imagine the pressure on G and P spots would be light, but due to its size of this the pressure can be very intense. For this reason this toy is probably not best used for long, teasing sessions because you may find you'll, well, get to the point rather too fast.

Material / Texture

This cock is a pretty firm fella, so you aren't going to find much sympathy with him if you like your toys on the softer, plusher side. However, if you enjoy continuous and fairly strong pressure on your most sensitive spots then this one will not disappoint. It can be a little over-stimulating even if you are someone that likes a lot of girth and moderately firm pressure, so thrusting can be a little tricky for given its size and density. Hardcore thrusting is hardly necessary in order to have fun though; this can be just as sexy when inserted and gently rocked back and forth.

This dildo is made from silicone, as stated on its packaging, however I feel I should note that it does not say anything more about its material composition than that. Unfortunately because the materials that sex toys are made from are not regulated in most places, unless a company explicitly states that its product is made from 100% silicone, there is no way to guarantee that it won't be some form of composite material. However, this toy passes a smell test, which while unscientific, is the best one can do to determine a toy's true material identity. It had virtually no scent (besides that of the cardboard it was sitting it) which is characteristic of silicone, but I still can't guarantee it. Assuming that it is 100% silicone, the toy should be 100% non-porous meaning bacteria cannot penetrate its surfaces and hide/breed there. This makes it very easy to share and very safe for your own bits!

Design / Shape / Size

Before I get into the design nitty-gritty I feel the need to say how much fun this freakin' color is! In a world of black, pink, red and purple silicone with not a tremendous amount of variation this seafoam green color is such a nice change of pace. The picture does not really do it justice (and neither does my camera, apparently, it also came out blue-ish) because it's actually a pale, minty green instead of a turquoise. It's a small detail but in a sea of hundreds of look-alike dildos stuff like that can really make the difference.

The design is a classic one; a semi-realistic dong with a sculpted head mimicking that of a circumcised penis. It also sports a nice little pair of smooth, plain balls that (just like the shaft) do not have any of the other trappings of a realistic penis. No veins, no wrinkles, no hair-like wiggles. If you are someone (like myself) that likes a touch of the realism but gets squeamish when it comes to the details then this dong is definitely a good choice. However, like I said before, this is not a toy for beginners! If you have never wrangled with something of this size you should give some thought to whether or not you'd be comfortable with the nearly 1.75" of girth and over 6 insertable inches (8 inches including the balls and base!) Size fanatics on the other hand should have their hands full with plenty of cock to keep them satisfied.

Due to its size, however, this toy is not very discreet and can be difficult to keep hidden and to travel with. This is not exactly something you can throw in your bag for a night out at the club, but rather more of a stay at home toy.

Performance

While this toy is excellent choice for strap-on toying, the suction cup base on this dildo doesn't quite register at stick-it-to-your-wall strength. However, it certainly adds a sense of security to harness play. I use the ASLAN Jaguar harness and I never have a problem with even my suction cup deficient toys slipping so it's difficult for me to gauge exactly how helpful this feature is. Still, considering that this is a very long and decidedly heavy toy I expected some loss of control even with my Jaguar. The suction cup I believe really helped with this, and between that and a gently guiding hand I had no trouble staying in control of my thrusting.

One thing I will make a note of is that this toy is quite girthy so you may want to do a quick measuring of your harness' O-ring(s) before you order the Grrl Toyz Dong. Luckily, I have a couple of sizes on hand because the standard O-ring that came with my harness (1.75" in diameter) was a little bit of a snug fit. I switched to a larger one but if you want to use this dildo with a standard O-ring I would suggest rubbing the dildo and O-ring down first with a little water based lubricant. This makes inserting and removing the toy much easier.

Care and Maintenance

Because it is made from silicone, the Grrl Toyz Strap-on Dong is a breeze when it comes to cleaning and sharing. It may be cleaned with a little anti-bacterial soap and warm water between uses and completely sterilized by boiling for 3-4 minutes in hot water, wiping down with a 10% bleach solution or throwing on the top rack of your dishwasher and giving it a spin (no soap, please!) It should not be used with silicone based lubricants because the lube may "bond" to your toy leaving behind a gummy mess that's hard to remove. Oil and water based lubes are completely fine though, so go crazy with those guys!

The only other thing to keep in mind with this toy is that it should not be stored openly with jelly, rubber and other such soft materials because it can distort the shape of or even melt your soft toys. If you want to toss this, or any other silicone product, in the toy box with the others then make sure you store it in a plastic Ziploc bag or some other container to prevent this. A Ziploc bag will also prevent the toy from attracting lint and dust, which silicone is prone to do. This dildo can, however, mingle freely with other silicone as well as hard materials like glass, metals, wood, etc.

Packaging

The dildo comes in a pretty standard clear plastic shell casing -not much to write home about. It is not useful for storing the dildo in, nor does it provide much information. Granted that a dildo like this is a fairly self-explanatory toy in most ways, it still would have been nice to have more information about how to care for the toy and about the material. My biggest gripe is just that is says "silicone" and does not state whether it is made entirely from silicone or not. This ambiguous term leaves a lot of things open to speculation, for example, whether or not this toy can be stored with other 100% silicone toys or whether it's truly non-porous.

In terms of the last question -whether or not it's truly non-porous- if you want to be extra-careful you can use a condom with this toy when sharing or using anally. Assuming that it's 100% silicone this isn't necessary, but since this is unclear a condom would be the only way to be completely safe.

Okay, it's not exactly that I don't like this anymore because I do believe this is a quality dildo. I just found it wasn't getting much use in my possession so I passed it on to my size king buddy. He loves it and praises it for its excellent base, painless clean-up, its pretty color, all that good stuff. For me this just wasn't a stand out and I probably used it a grand total of two or three more times after my review before retiring it. I don't know why. I could angle it for pretty decent squirting orgasms and everything but...it just never took my breath away. I finally decided to give it a better home where it would be appreciated. Sorry, Grrl Toyz!

Super review...don't know whether my partners are up to this size! Great advice on lube with the O ring. I prefer a snug fit overall so lube helps, better then a larger O ring.. I have never used the bases of toys as suction cups but the bases always feel so good when I use a harness. .
