The first thing that struck me about this dildo (Clear swirl rib glass dildo probe) was its appearance. It’s pretty. It’s very, very pretty. In addition to being attractive, it is also very substantial. It felt surprisingly heavy and holding it in my hand only increased the anticipation. The shaft itself appears misleadingly thin, but the addition of the glass spiral gives it a surprising amount of girth. The bulb at the end also seemed small, but ended up being the perfect size for g-spot play.

When it came down to actually playing with the dildo, I started out alone. I immediately noticed that lubricants work like a dream on the glass. I coated the bulbous end with Astroglide and began massaging my g-spot with it. It was a comfortable reach and easy to use even without being curved. The main shaft of the dildo is not what I would consider particularly thick, but I definitely felt the ribbing. The ribbing is much more pronounced than any other toy I’ve played with and I don’t know what to make of it. At first I thought it was uncomfortable. I then switched from deep penetration to short, shallow strokes that took advantage of the ribbing creating a lot of friction at the entrance to my vagina. It was in no way unpleasant, but the sensation was certainly unique and something that could have potential. On the whole, vaginal penetration was nice, but not something that I could achieve an orgasm with. It also worked well in combination with my Hitachi Magic Wand, but that couldn’t bring me to climax, either.

I also used it with a partner and, like my solo experience, how much you enjoy it depends a lot on what kind of sex you like. First, my partner penetrated me vaginally from behind while using the dildo on me anally. That is where the width of the dildo and the ribbing really come into play. The dildo is thin enough that I can accommodate my partner and the dildo at the same time. The ribbing made the insertion slightly uncomfortable for me, but it also added an extra set of sensations for him. We followed that with anal penetration and, given that the dildo had already done a fine job of loosening me up, the usual few seconds of discomfort I experience with anal sex were non-existent. Overall, this was a very nice addition to one-on-one play and was much more stimulating than what I had experienced alone.

This is a toy for specialists. If you know what you’re looking for in a dildo, this one has a lot to offer. It’s great for g-spot stimulation and can be fun for anal penetration if you enjoy the ribbing. You’re only limited by your imagination and that’s very much the case here. However, if you’re looking for an all purpose tool to simply insert and get off with, you might be better served with something different.
