The Color Tip Wand from Pyrexions is a beautiful piece. It’s handmade, which will create some subtle variations on the shape and coloring of each piece. Since it’s dual-sided, it can be used with either end for different sensations. The wand comes in a simple white box and is wrapped in pink tissue paper to protect it. Unfortunately, no storage bag is included, although the box works well to store it in when not in use.

The wand is about 7 1/4” long, and can be inserted about 6 1/4" regardless of which end you use. One end has a “penis” head, which is colored in swirls of blue, green, and yellow. This tapers out to about 1 1/4" at its widest, before tapering down into a neck that is just under 1” wide.

The other end consists of four balls or bubbles. The largest ball is the base, which is about 1 1/4” wide. The other three balls are gradually smaller, tapering to about 1” wide. The wand is not too heavy, weighing in at about 8 ounces.

The Color Tip Wand is made of Pyrex glass, which is a phenomenal material. It is smooth, hard, and non-porous, as well as hypo-allergenic and phthalates-free. and less dense than regular glass. This makes it more resistant to breaking or shattering. Pyrex toys will typically snap or break into large pieces rather than shattering into small pieces when they break. Always check your toy for cracks and chips before use, and don’t use it anymore if you notice any.

Pyrex is good for temperature play and retains heat and cold well. Cleaning glass is a breeze. The toy can be washed with soap and water, or it can be sterilized by boiling it, running it through the dishwasher (top rack), or using a 10% bleach solution.

Glass is compatible with water-based, oil, or silicone lubricants. Just a little lube will do. The wand is easy to insert vaginally, regardless of which end is used. Starting with the penis headed side, the insertion is very smooth. Using the bubbled side creates an interesting feeling when moving the wand in and out.

This is one of those toys that I will only use solo, as I am afraid to use it with my husband (he really likes to thrust hard). It took only a small amount of KY to make the wand slick and ready to go. It was very easy to insert and just the right weight. I would have liked it a bit thicker, but it wasn’t as thin as I had feared.

Using the wand with the penis tip inserted felt a lot like using a standard dildo, but it glided in and out better than anything I’ve ever tried. Using the bubbled end also allowed for smooth penetration and thrusting. I didn’t feel the bubbles so much, but the sensation was very pleasant. Adding a clit vibe to the mix allowed me to cum fairly quickly.

I have had very pleasurable experiences using this as a solo toy, and love how it’s so slick. I would highly recommend this glass toy!

This is one of the few glass dildos I own, and I still love it. It's great for solo sessions, and I enjoy the slickness and sensations of it. I tried it with my partner once, but he gets too carried away. It is uncomfortable when thrust too hard inside.

I've had no problems with cracking or chipping, and this remains a staple in my solo box.
