I <3 Glass
The Rainbow Swirl glass dildo is a well-made, phthalate-free, gorgeous toy, with swirls that provide excellent vaginal and clitoral stimulation.Published: August 11, 2009
Pros:
Non-porous, exciting swirls.
Cons:
I honestly can't think of any cons.
The Rainbow Swirl is a fun textured glass dildo that I absolutely love. It was bought for me a year or so ago as my first proper glass toy. It's a beautiful toy that is neither too big nor too small. However, if you're more about girth than anything else, you'll most likely be disappointed with this toy. I'm usually one of those people, but the swirls on this more than make up for the lack of girth.
I often don't feel the nubs near the flared base as you've got to slide it in quite far to do so, and I'm not always capable of doing that. But the swirls feel divine on my inner walls and especially at my vaginal entrance. They even feel nice while rubbed over my clitoris. It also has a slight curve which I guess is meant for stimulation of the g-spot, but it didn't do much for me in that regard.
Since it's made of Pyrex, it is non-porous and easy to clean. You can use either silicone or water-based lubes with this toy. It has neither a taste nor a fragrance. I use hot water and anti-bacterial soap for cleaning. I recommend giving it a good washing, as dried bodily fluids and lube can develop around the edges of the swirls.
I've been hearing stories recently about glass dildos, especially Pyrex ones, breaking during use. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I've had it for a year or so, and I haven't had an issue with it yet. It comes with a nicely padded pouch and that's what I keep mine in. I've never gotten the impression that my toy was in any danger of breaking, so I'm going to keep using it unless I do. So far, so very, very good.

Glass vs. Jelly
-
I'm used to using jelly materials and have never attempted glass. Does it hurt? -Lol- That's probably what lube is for.
-
Glass can hurt if you're rough with it, but like with anything firm it's listening to your body and working with it.
-
glass don't hurt,,it depends on you people are different ,,if you feel attractive to glass then try it,, i have one and it does not hurt ,, see some reviews they're very helpful

What do you think of this dildo?

So, what is the general opinion of this dildo? Do you like the texture? The color? The form? Texture?

At the moment, aside from the bent graduate, this is my favorite toy! I like the texture, it feels kind of like its ribbed where the swirls are and the nubbs feel great. I wrote a review on it if you want more information :-)

Thank you for viewing Rainbow swirl dildo – glass dildo review page!

Although it has happened before, I wouldn't worry to much about glass toys breaking. Those occurrences are few ans far between, and I think more likely to happen after falling then while in use.
This one sure is pretty! Have fun with it.
I've had some glass toys with texture on them that I found slightly painful, but that doesn't seem to be the case with this one? You liked the texture on it?
Also, you say in the summary that it provides clitoral stimulation. Is that just from rubbing the toy clitorally? Or do the textured parts somehow provide clitoral stimulation when it's inserted?
Oh, and hi
Kinky Kitty - Yeah, I'm not overly worried about about breaking, either, but I figured I should address the concerns I've heard. Thanks. I definitely have fun with it. ;-)
I didn't find the texture painful at all. Yep, I certainly enjoyed it. The clitoral stimulation does indeed stem from rubbing the toy over the clit. Now I see that I did not indicate that in my review. Darn it, I thought I did! Sorry! Oh, and no, the textured parts did not stimulate my clit while inserted.
Britni - Hi!
Heh, Britni asked the same question I was going to about the clitoral stimulation and you already answered so yay. Nice review. I got my first glass toy recently and I love it. I was so apprehensive about it at first because I couldn't get over sliding glass inside me, lol.
I use a lot of my glass toys for rubbing externally, too. We must be the odd ducks out, eh?
Amorous Rocker: I need to edit this review to reflect that. I appreciate you and Britni pointing that out. It's definitely a weird concept initially, but so lovely.
Adriana Ravenlust: I guess we are. hehe Good thing I like being an odd duck. ;-)
Britni & Amorous Rocker: I just went to edit this review when I saw this: "But the swirls feel divine on my inner walls and especially at my vaginal entrance. They even feel nice while rubbed over my clitoris." So, I guess I did mention it after all!
Good review, thanks!
Thanks for the review!
Pyrex toys are not going to break during use, end of story. Unless your SO is a floor and coitus is achieved by throwing dildos downward. (Or if you're being VERY irresponsible with temperature play... but even then... phhh.)
Thank you for sharing
thanks
Great review
