The Blue Bump is made of Pyrex glass. This was my first glass toy, and I'm already in love! Glass has absolutely no give to it, so you probably won't enjoy it if you're after a realistic feeling, but if you're after a new sensation it's a fantastic choice. It can be heated or cooled using hot or cold water - microwaving or freezing toys isn't a great idea, extreme temperatures can stress the material, and you could get burned! If you keep it at room temperature it will still be slightly colder than your body, so if you're not into temperature play you'll probably want to warm it up a little first. It's also quite slippery, so you don't need a lot of lube. Silicone, water, or oil-based lubes are all compatible with glass.

The thing I was most worried about with the Bump was breaking it. I'm a little accident prone, so I was sure I'd drop it or knock it against something and end up with a handful of glass. This hasn't happened! It's a lot sturdier than I was expecting. I've knocked it against the sink while cleaning it, and no fractures; my roommates shook the package when it arrived (to "figure out what was in it"), and I was so scared it would have broken, but it's fine. Pyrex glass has been treated so that it's quite sturdy, and even if broken, more likely to snap than to shatter. I'm still extremely careful not to leave it on something it could roll off, and I keep it in the padded bag when I'm not using it - but I'm much less paranoid than I thought I'd need to be.

The texture of this toy is not as extreme as I was expecting. If you run your fingers over it you can really feel the bumps, but they're not as noticeable elsewhere on your body. I hardly felt the bumps internally, but I could feel them going in. The edges of the bumps flow very smoothly onto the shaft so the bumps are less "sudden." While you can definitely tell it's textured, it's a very smooth texture, especially when combined with the slipperiness of glass. If you're really into texture this might not be the best choice, but if you're looking for an intro to textured toys this might be a good choice.

The Bump is straight, 7 inches long, with a 1 inch diameter, and a bulge at one end with a 1.5 inch diameter. A 3/4 inch diameter version is also available. The straight end went in really smoothly; the bulge was a little more challenging but just fine with a bit of lube. The bulge definitely worked well for targeting my g-spot; the straight end took a bit more work, but was still achievable. This toy is definitely on the thinner side, so it's not the best choice if you want girth, though the bulge does help make up for that. Personally, I don't like my toys super wide, so I really enjoyed this one.

While it does have a bulge at one end, I'm not sure it's flared enough for safe anal play. I didn't try it anally myself. If you're going to try, be careful!

This toy is really pretty! Anyone into glasswork should enjoy it - while it's not as decorative as some other glass toys, the simplicity and single colour scheme are quite enchanting. The Bump could be left out without comment, particularly if you're into weird sculptures. I wouldn't travel with it because I'd be worried about breaking it, but it's certainly discreet enough to take with you.

Apart from worrying about dropping it, the Blue Bump is super easy to care for. Being glass, it's nonporous, and will work with pretty much any cleanser. I use soap and water, and cleaning is a snap. It's easy to tell when it's clean, because even fingerprints are visible in direct light. You do want to check it for cracks or fractures every so often - examine it closely under a blacklight (I think a halogen light also works if it's bright enough).

It does come with a storage bag, but it isn't padded and doesn't offer any real protection. I ended up making my own padded bag because I worry about things breaking.

The Blue Bump is a great toy, with easy texture, a gorgeous appearance, and two great ends to play with. The only things to be wary of are the price and the lack of girth.

My favorite thing to do with this toy is to use it with a vibrator. Because it's so hard, glass carries vibration really well, so using a larger vibe I can stimulate internally while hitting my clit at the same time. Twisting is a great feeling; thrusting I didn't enjoy so much, I think because it's so hard.

I'm still a fan of this one. Because it's so thin and smooth, it's a great warm up toy. Basically everything I said in my review is still true.
