The Ribbed G from Doc Johnson is a strap on dildo that's designed to work along with their great vac-u-lock system. If you don't have any other vac-u-lock items, it's no big deal. This can be used as you would any other dildo. It has a hole in the bottom which was made to work with the vac-u-lock plugs, but can also house a bullet; turning your normal dildo into a vibrator.

The base has a great flare to it which makes it harness friendly and anal safe. The curve to the dildo was designed to work with the curves of your body, and hopefully connect with your G-spot or P-spot, depending on how you're using it. The overall design is very interesting and is unlike most toys you'll find here. It's very whimsical in appearance and reminds me more of a tentacle or a tail to a mythical creature. This one isn't at all realistic and should be very non-intimidating because of it.

This dildo is made from silicone which is an excellent choice for a sex toy material because it's totally body-safe and non-porous. The surface of this toy has a shine to it, and while it does have some drag, it doesn't feel sticky or tacky. It's not very plush for toy of this material, that can either be a good or bad thing. The firm feeling is great for applying pressure to all the right areas, but it also means it could uncomfortably bump your cervix while using it vaginally. Use caution when you're using it on your partner for that reason.

The dildo has a very interesting texture that is obvious even from looking at it. There are too heavily ribbed areas, and two totally smooth areas; if it was a square I would say that the smooth areas are opposite each other on either side, as well as the ribbed areas. This texture is quite obvious and isn't for everyone. If you prefer smooth toys, this isn't going to be a great option for you.

The size is pretty average, but might be a little large for someone not used to penetration. Because there isn't a lot of give to the dildo, you feel the entire girth of it. For the average user it will be great, but it will be a little small for a size queen; you can't satisfy everyone. It's sort of discreet enough for travel in the sense that it's not phallic, but it would be hard to pass this off as something else. It's also a little large unless you're packing luggage.

Silicone is a great material because it's quite easy to clean and care for. Washing with antibacterial soap and warm water or your favorite sex toy cleaner is great for regular use, but if you're switching between orifices and/or partners, you'll need to sterilize it. You can do this by boiling it up to three minutes, placing it on the top rack of your dishwasher, or wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution. It's a little more difficult to clean than some because of the ribs; using a soft bristled tooth brush works best.

This material type is only compatible with water-based lubricants and should be stored away from toys of similar materials. Sometimes they react to each other and could potentially ruin your toys. It doesn't come with storage, but putting it inside a gallon sized Ziploc or a large storage pouch should work fine.
