Lucid dream 39 - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by charmedtomeetyou

The Lucid Dream No. 39 was a disappointment. It lacks power, and the little vibration it creates is buried too deeply in the tip of the toy to have much impact. It is a little on the large side, but not large enough to be an issue for most people. I didn't care for the shape of the toy. The wavy design didn't add to the experience, but seemed to work against my body's natural shape. Attempting to use the toy for clitoral stimulation didn't do the trick either. This toy might be good for someone looking for a more mild vibe, but if you're looking for power....look elsewhere.

This toy is made of jelly (PVC), so it can't be sterilized. It is fairly firm for a jelly toy, with only a small bit of squish to it. This toy collects hair, dust, fuzzies, etc. It has a slightly sticky feel and a VERY strong smell that doesn't seem to ever fade away. The smell of this toy was so strong when I first opened the package that it gave me a headache. The surface of the toy is smooth, with no bumps or ridges. I did notice a bit of a seam where the motor is, but it doesn't seem to create an issue or bother during use.

The wavy design works against you with this toy. I can only imagine they intended the design to stimulate if you thrusted the toy, but with the vibration where it is, I don't know why you would do that. I attempted it several times, and it was nothing but awkward. No matter what I do with this toy, the wavy shape didn't do anything good for me.





The size was a little on the large side, but nothing too scary. It is 8" in length, 7" of that are insertable. It has a diameter of 1 5/8". I wouldn't call this a discreet toy, or suitable for travel.


The pink color was nice, but the see-through aspect of this toy allows you to see the wiring running up to the motor, as well as the motor itself, and I find that unappealing.

One of the only areas I can't really complain about, the controls on this toy worked well and were designed well. It has a multi-speed wheel, so you can adjust it to suit your needs. The wheel is located at the base of the toy, where you insert the batteries. It isn't loud and could be used without alerting everyone in the house. It is waterproof, and I have used it in the shower with no issues.

With all of those pros--if this toy had more power I would have rated it higher. It simply can't deliver the vibrations it should.

This toy is made of jelly (PVC), so it has some care issues. You can't sterilize it by boiling, so you can't share it unless you use a condom. It picks up lint, hair and anything else it comes in contact with. It cleans up with warm water and toy cleaner. You really will need to store it in a storage bag or some sort of container to limit the amount of lint it collects. Water or Silicone based lubes are okay to use on jelly toys.

It came packaged in a simple plastic package that wasn't suitable for storing the toy. There are very basic instructions on washing and care.
