Roulette Bet on black - textured classic vibrator discontinued by Evolved Novelties - review by mpfm

Bet on Black is one of my top two vibrators. I love its girth and find it very attractive. Evolved has an entire line of Roulette toys. I purchased all 8 of them in a blow out sale last year. I like them because they have strong vibrations, nice girth, and are very well made. Evolved went with a gambling theme with the set. The control dial is a wheel similar to a roulette wheel. You just spin it to turn it on and increase the intensity. All of the roulettes have a strong motor with the highest vibration setting a nice 4/5 vrooms. None of them offer any pulsating options. That's fine for me as I prefer steady anyway. Here's a pic of the entire set. The top is Bet on Black. Roulette Bet on Black is a traditional mid size vibrator. It offers nice swirly texture. Due to its size it might not be the best for beginners especially virgins. It's great for those who enjoy a nid size toy.

It is designed primarily for vaginal penetration. it can also be used externally. That is my favorite way to use it. It does not have a flared base so anal penetration is not recommended. Men might enjoy the vibrations other penis or balls. It can also be used on any erogenous zone of the body. It is waterproof so safe for the tub or shower. It's great for solo excursions or partner play. It fits well in my toy mounts from Liberator. It is a versatile toy.

The shaft is made from premium silicone. It is somewhat squishy. It doesn't really bend but it has a small amount of give to it. Silicone is an excellent material for sex toys. It has the highest safest rating on Eden Fantasys scale. It is nonporous, phthalate fee, and hypoallergenic. It is a completely bodysafe toy. Silicone is my favorite material for sex toys. The bottom portion containing the control dial is made of plastic. Plastic is still a safe material rating a 8/10 on the same scale. I don't worry about using plastic myself. The plastic portion on this toy does not come in contact with the genitals. If it does get dirty it is also nonporous and easy to clean.

It has a moderate texture that adds to the intensity. it has a swirled diagonal line design. The lines add some nice texture. It's not enough to be overwhelming since the lines are a good inch away from each other.

The shaft is midnight black. This is one of the girthiest of the roulettes at 5.25 inches around. In addition to the girth, the tip of the shaft does not have much tapering. Toys with a tapered head are easier to insert. Because this isn't narrow at the top, that girth is felt almost immediately. All on Red is about the same girth but has a tapered head. He might be preferable for those who want an easy insertion. Here is a comparison pic of the two.



I love the color combo. The red and black contrast nicely together. They are bold strong colors. For me it just adds to the overall attractiveness of the toy.

Bet on Black offers steady vibrations from low to high. The highest level has an intensity of 4/5. The vibrations are deep and rumbly just as I like them. They are also quiet enough to not be heard through a closed door. That's always nice when you have other people living with you.


The dial may be of interest to those who have trouble pushing buttons due to arthritis. It moves easily and might be easier on tender joints. The dial also has another appeal. It can be ramped up or down very simply. Vibes with buttons typically go from low to medium to high. If it is set on high you can't go back down very quickly. If there are pulsating options you have to cycle through those to get back to low. With the dial it is very easy to go up and down.

Although the dial is easy to use, it does need to be deliberately rolled to move. That's good news. because it means the dial isn't likely to be moved accidentally. There's nothing more frustrating than changing a setting at an inopportune moment. That doesn't happen with Bet on Black.

Bet on Black runs on 2 AA batteries. The plastic portion with the dial unscrews revealing the battery compartment. It has an O ring protecting the batteries and motor from water.

The silicone and plastic is easy to clean with soap and water, a toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. Since it is waterproof, you don't have to worry about getting it wet under the faucet. Just make sure the battery compartment is sealed tight before cleaning.

The silicone does attract lint and hair. I always clean the toy before using it to remove the little gunkies. I store it in its case to eliminate some of the lint gathering. But it always needs a quick wash before using.

All of the roulettes come with their own plastic storage case. It is a transparent rectangular plastic box with a mold for the toy to rest on. The lid comes completely off. Both of the ends of the case have a metal latch to close the case. It's great for long term storage. It's especially nice since this is a mid price toy. Most toys in this price range don't come with their own storage.

Bet on black is my favorite. I also like All on Red and Lucky 7. Those are the first two in the group pic at the top. Lucky 7 has a nice tip for teasing my G-spot. As stated about All on Red is easier for insertion. Sometimes I use him if I don't want that full feeling right away.

I use Bet on Black mainly externally. My body doesn't respond in the typical fashion with clitoral stimulation being the best. My favorite stimulation is to use a large size vibrator on the entire vulva area from my clitoris all the way down to the end of the vagina. It's the quickest and most satisfying was for me to climax. The size and design of Bet on Black is perfect for that. If I want quick and easy, Bet on Black is my go to toy. I can also tease for a longer session. I do on occasion use it internally and if my husband is controlling it, that's what happens. That's good as well. It doesn't have a curve so doesn't hit my G-spot. However, the combined girth and strong vibrations are enough to make me happy.

I also like to use this in my toy mounts from Liberator. Actually I like to grab 2 of the roulettes and situate both of them externally for maximum pleasure. I have a very large collection of vibrators ranging from very inexpensive to expensive luxury vibes. Bet on Black and the other Roulettes are mid range. I think they are wonderful and would make a nice addition to anyone's toy collection.
