Flit and Flutter-rific!

The butterfly clamps are a great investment for those looking to add a little nipple clamp play into your sex life. While the vibrations are good, they tend to get diluted by the time they reach the clamped area, so they may not work well for those who want a strong vibration. I would buy the product again if something happened to our current pair.

Use

The Upstairs Downstairs Arousers are nipple/clitoral vibrators with cute purple butterflies on the end. They are easily clamped to the nipple or clitoris for a high powered vibrating sensation. This toy is great for foreplay to help get things started.

Material / Texture

The butterflies are made of crystalessence; which is a rubbery, jelly type material. The antennas and wings are flexible and flit flirtatiously on my breast. The clamp and battery casing is hard plastic. There was no odor to the toy.

Depending on your intentions with the toy, the vibrators can be clamped on so they can pinch or can be worn comfortably without pain. I found that the clamps were snug around my nipple and stayed attached fairly well. If too much movement they might get caught on something and detach.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrating clamps are easy to operate by turning the base of the clamps to the on or off position. According to the product description, you can control the vibration speed; however, I only found one speed. The vibrations are not overly strong nor are they too weak. It is the perfect speed, in my opinion. They are fairly quiet. Each clamp takes three watch batteries.

Care and Maintenance

In order to clean the clamps, you should first remove the batteries and put them back together. Then take a little toy cleaner and rub it around the toy, and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Typically, they should not get that dirty during usage, so they are pretty easy to keep clean.

They came in an easy open clam shell case. The nice thing is they did include an extra set of batteries. Each clamp uses three batteries.

Thanks for the review! That's good they came with extra batteries, that actually seems like quite a bit of batteries.. so for both clamps, it's 6 batteries in total! Yikes!

So is there only one vibe speed when you try adjusting the speed? Or does it increase in speed but it is barely noticeable? Thanks so much for the review!

    • From the description, the butterflies are for clitoral use. These can be used on the nipples, or alternately on the clit.
