Insignia Tiani - g-spot vibrator by LELO - review by Girly Juice

My boyfriend and I pooled our cash to buy a Tiani from Amazon, where it was sold for much cheaper. Because of this, we ended up paying only $50 each, including shipping. I definitely recommend doing this with your partner, because it brings this overpriced toy down to a price point that is actually reasonable.

So, first of all, the Tiani is gorgeous. It's made of super soft silicone and has beautiful metallic accents. The shape of it is so Lelo - if you left it out on the coffee table, your friends would probably have several guesses about what it is, but I don't think "vibrator" would jump to mind.

Lelo have updated the way they package their toys; the Tiani came in a flimsier box than the hard black boxes my Nea and Mona came in. I like to repurpose my Lelo boxes into storage, so this was kind of a downer for me. It's still useable, just not as sturdy.

I tried out Tiani on my own first, to try to figure out the controls for myself before subjecting my partner to the new toy. I find that it's not ideal for solo play - it started to frequently slip out as soon as I got wet, and there just wasn't enough pressure on my clit for me to get very far. The remote was fun to play with, but it was clear that the Tiani wasn't going to do much for me in the context of masturbation, so I busted out a different Lelo toy to finish the job.

When I finally got around to using the Tiani with my (cis male) partner, I liked it much better. He immediately recognized that he'd need to keep his thrusts shallow and his pubic bone pressed against mine in order for me to get the most benefits out of the toy - this sounds restrictive but it was actually very close and intimate for both of us. I controlled the toy with the remote, and the reception wasn't perfect (it sometimes takes Tiani a few seconds to "clue in" that the remote's angle has changed, and you can't hold the remote more than a foot or two from Tiani before the signal gets blocked by an errant arm or leg) but I actually enjoyed myself. The vibrations were strong, and my man's body pressing the toy into my clit helped a lot.

I found it distracting that the remote vibrates along with the Tiani. I feel that the remote might even vibrate more strongly than the Tiani does. I know there is a setting to turn off the vibration in the remote, so I think I'll do that next time to help me focus entirely on the sensations in my clit.

During intercourse, the Tiani didn't slip out. Its inner segment is skinny and a bit pointy, and my man's penis is quite girthy, which I found was an uncomfortable combination - he had to be at just the right angle or the Tiani's inner portion would poke me in the G-spot. My boyfriend said he could feel the vibrations and it felt nice - he had no complaints.

The Tiani couldn't make me orgasm during intercourse, maybe because I don't have enough practice using vibrators during sex. I ended up taking it out and just rubbing my clit for the rest of the session until I came. I have to say, the Tiani was a great warm-up; it barely took me any time at all to reach orgasm after removing it.

I love that the Tiani is waterproof. I don't especially love that the remote requires AAA batteries while the toy itself is rechargeable; that seems excessive. And it might be an issue for some women that the inner portion does not vibrate, but as I'm not really a fan of G-spot vibrations, I didn't have an issue with that.

Having now tried a different couples' vibe (the FixSation), I'm much more aware of the Tiani's many problems - particularly the way its internal arm pokes me in the G-spot.

The Tiani is a rip-off of the We-Vibe, and not a very good one. If you're considering springing for this toy, I'd urge you to look at other options first, and think very hard.
