This vibrator did nothing for me internally, but was surprisingly effective on my clit. It's a simple tool for all over uni-sex stimulation, so it has a spot in our bedside collection. The sound is loud though, so those with roommates might want to find something quieter. The single battery is a plus especially since it does not drain too fast. If you are new to toys, or want to try something that doesn't require a lot of brain cells to operate, the Sparkle Vibe is a good bet.

Use

If you are a beginner to vibrations and want a simple, steady, and trusty vibrator to start off with, the Sparkle vibes won't be intimidating. It's a dependable vibrator for travel as well. The Sparkle Vibe is a traditional vibrator with variable speeds. For being so basic, it's actually surprisingly effective for clitoral stimulation. It's not exactly a go to toy for an experienced toy user, but it still can get the job done if you can finish from clitoral stimulation alone. Not to mention that it is easy to operate and cheap to upkeep since it only takes 1 AA battery! Just don't expect to be incognito with the loud sound it produces.

Material / Texture

The Sparkle Vibe is made of hard and smooth, ABS plastic. It is also hypo-allergenic, food-grade, phthalate and latex free. The plastic feels of good quality and won't easily scratch. This vibrator comes in four different sparkly colors, of which I have bought all four. These are the available colors: pink, purple, green, and blue. I'd have to say that green is my least favorite and the rest look great. The sparkles can not be felt in the material and the surface is completely smooth. ABS plastic is non porous, but cannot be sterilized. Using a condom for sharing is still recommended. It has no smell or taste either.

Design / Shape / Size

The Sparkle Vibe is a non intimidating size for beginners, great for travel, and those who need to hide their toys. The design works for vaginal or clitoral stimulation, but isn't the safest for anal insertion. it is small enough to fit between bodies, though. The Sparkle Vibe has the traditional and sleek torpedo shape. It is 5 1/4" long and comes to a rounded point. The insertable length is just shy of 4 1/2". This probably is not enough for vaginal orgasms, but does lend to teasing and warm up for larger toys especially if you are a novice. The thickness is fairly slim at s 1" in diameter, 3 1/8" in circumference.

The base has a dial control that is ridged for easier grip and use. It also sticks out a bit wider than the shaft. It is not enough of a difference to make this toy safe for anal insertion. In can however be used for external anal teasing. The base easily unscrews so the single AA battery can be inserted.

The small size is good for travel and hiding if you need to be discreet. It's use is obvious though.

Functions / Performance / Controls

To turn on the toy, simply turn the dial at the base. There is only a moderate amount of resistance, so it can easily be bumped or hit causing a change in vibration level. The dial allows for a variable amount of vibration levels, but I think I have discerned three distinct levels. The difference between the first two is small, but the jump to the third is intense comparably.

1. Moderately low level of steady (sometimes shaky) vibration, already loud enough to hear across a room

2. Medium-low level of steadier vibration, loud enough to be heard through an average door

3. A large jump to a high and steady level of vibration that can most certainly be heard through a door

I was not expected to see this much power from a toy this small and of this price. The vibrations are somewhat buzzy, but they were not painful enough to not cause orgasms on my sensitive clitoris. In fact, these vibrations feel great pretty much everywhere: vulva, penis, back of the neck, and inner thigh.

Do not take this toy into the tub or shower! It is not waterproof.

Care and Maintenance

Being plastic, the Sparkle Vibe is very easy to care for. You can use any kind of lubricant with it, and it can be cleaned with warm water and soap or a toy cleaner. Make sure the battery compartment in closed tightly before cleaning and remove the batteries before storing. It can be stored pretty much anywhere.

Packaging

The packaging is a bit cheap. It comes in a clear, clam shell, plastic case. It has a cheesy picture of a girl on the front and simple text. A small instruction packet is included, but it isn't very useful. It would make a good grab bag stuffer, but not a good gift. It works for storage, but isn't really needed.

If you are on a budget, this is a good vibe. I still have a few of them and keep them around to make Clone a Willies with on occasion or other random things to replace with toys. They make great stocking stuffers or gifts for girls only parties. Of all the cheap vibes, this one is my favorites for those types of needs.
