This toy was definitely designed
When I received the
Jel-lee vibrator, I was impressed with its size. It's much thicker than I thought it would be. The first this I really liked about this product was the gel sleeve. The sleeve is squishy yet very firm, so it has an excellent feel to it. It isn't as hard as a conventional vibrator, which my girlfriend appreciated. She said it didn’t leave her sore like she thought it would because of its size. It has a nice texture to it. The wavy ripple effect adds another dimension compared a smooth traditional vibrator. While this vibrator definitely requires lube with it, the gel sleeve creates a slick surface letting it slide in and out with some ease.
The only thing that my girlfriend wasn’t to fond of was the smell. The scent when you first open the package is pretty pungent. I'd compare the smell to a combination of strong rubber and grandma's perfume (I know, not very pleasant at all). The smell does subside some but it's almost molded into the product itself so it's never really gone. We've found that if you just use some other scented or
flavored lube it covers up the smell of the Jel-lee completely.
The one downside of the gel sleeve is that it absorbs most of the vibrations. If you take the sleeve off, the vibrator has quite a kick to it. Once the sleeve is back on the vibrations are at about half power. Also most of the vibrations are at the tip with almost nothing down at the other end. Another con of this product is the noise. While it's not as loud as others, it's still pretty noisy when you have it cranked up. So it's not something you'll want to use if you're staying in a room next to where your in-laws are sleeping.
The variable speed is a great feature but we have found a flaw with it. If you turn it too much, you'll end up popping the bottom off the threads of the cap where the batteries go. If you do this, the Jel-lee stops working completely. We were very upset by this at first until I realized that if you do it again, it starts right back up. It was an upsetting quirk but at least it wasn't totally broken. Other than that it’s seems to be very durable. It receives three vrooms for what it puts out with the sleeve on. If it wasn’t dampened by the gel sleeve it would get a higher rating. I also give it three bees for being as loud as it is. It won’t wake the neighbors, but people on the other side of the door might hear it.
The smell is because of the chemicals used to make Jel-Lee. Always use a condom with toys of this material and similiar ones, especially when sharing.
Ugh, jelly is so creepy. The smell is the main thing, but I also kind of find it repulsive to touch. Probably better just to use it without the sleeve..
The scent is due to the chemicals of the jelly. I hate that personally.
Yes,Jelly does smell horrid. A good toy cleaner can help with this some, but nothing can get rid of it completely.
