Jel-lee vibrator - traditional vibrator discontinued by Topco Sales - review by null

The jel-lee (jelly) material that this toy is made of smells like a pool toy when you first open the package. The smells lessens as time goes on, but it's always still there. The feel of the toy is something I really like, it's firm, has no give if you try to bend it, but is still slightly squishy. The reason for the soft-hard feeling is that the toy is really a traditional, plastic vibrator covered in a jelly sleeve. I quite like this squishy-firm feeling and try to go after vibes that feel similarly. You can take the toy pieces apart if you so desire, but the jelly starts to show signs of stretching over time. The jelly sleeve is a bit sticky so you either need extra lube during use, or you can simply use it in the shower as I like to.

This toy felt pretty strong to me when I first got it, however, it pales in comparison to other vibes I've bought since. Because the motor for the vibrations is located near the tip rather than the base, I find that I have a hard time getting off without an extra bit of clitoral stimulation.

The toy is controlled with a dial-base. The dial base IS NOT WATERPROOF. Although I like to use this toy in the shower, if the dial is submerged for some time, it can and will leak and rust the components. In my case it did not stop working, but I did have to rub away a bit of rust from the battery contacts, which frankly, is a little creepy. The dial base is a little tough to turn, enough that it's not going to go from bzzz... to VRRRROOOOM on it's own, which I like. However, once you're finished with it, it's a hassle to try that hard to turn the vibe off, especially since I'm normally quite sensitive at that time.

After a few months I managed to kill this toy. I accidentally grabbed the dish soap when washing it one night, and didn't realize it until I tried to use the toy again the next day. Stung bad! It had to be thrown away. But I love it while it lasted!
