Mini mini koala - clitoral vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by misskat

This is a small vibrating bullet from Doc Johnson. It has a TPE (rubber blend) koala shaped sleeve over the bullet. It is best used for clitoral stimulation or nipples/breast but should not be used vaginally or anally because the only retrieval cord would be the power cord, and that could disconnect from the bullet accidentally. Stick to external use.

This toy is not overly powerful so I would recommend it to anyone as a warm-up toy, to beginners, or to those with sensitive clits who do not need powerful stimulation.

This is made of TPE/TPR which is a rubber blend that ranks a 6 on Eden's safety scale. It has no real scent or taste and a rubbery texture with a little drag, but is not sticky. The texture of the koala sleeve makes the bullet difficult to use. It adds bulk and absorbs some of the vibrations, making pinpoint stimulation difficult. However, it also absorbs some of the noise, so if you need a quiet toy, this is a good one. Because of the bullet inside the sleeve, it is not very flexible, with the exception of the koala ears.

I ordered this because I love koalas and thought it was adorable, but the koala sleeve actually seemed to make using it MORE difficult to get the stimulation where I wanted it on my clit. Even with the sleeve on, it's still very small, around 2" long and 1.5" across, but because it is koala shaped, has arms, legs, bamboo, etc, it just makes it more difficult to manipulate. The ears stick out from the sleeve a little but they don't transmit much of the vibrations.

The size is tiny and great for beginners and that also makes it very easy to hide. I think this would be great for travel if you popped the batteries out.

This toy is very easy to use. It has a remote with two buttons, an on/off and a button that changes speed and pattern. It runs on two AAA batteries (not included) but I was glad it was AAA and not the harder-to-find watch sized batteries.


The vibrations are located in the silver bullet, covered by a rubbery koala sleeve. The sleeve dampens a lot of the noise, making this a rather quiet toy. It also dampens the vibrations, but more on that in a minute.

It is listed as waterproof on the package and the remote has a waterproof seal around the battery compartment.

There are ten different speeds/patterns, as follows:

1) Low
2) Medium
3) High
4) Escalating
5) Longer Pulse
6) Shorter Pulse
7) Escalate, then Pulse
8) Pulse then Steady
9) Escalate then Steady
10) Variety of Pulses

Now, I was disappointed by the dampening of the vibrations when using the sleeve but I noticed you can stretch the koala out a little at the base and slip it off. While it makes it more noisy and buzzy, it gives you SO much more power in vibrations.

This toy is easy to care for. You can wipe it down with Eden wipes, use a toy cleaner or warm water and soap. I store mine in a small drawer with my other bullets and it does not react with anything.

It can be used with water or silicone based lubricant, whatever you prefer.
