No bang for these bucks!

The power and variability of this vibe simply did not live up to the hype, or the $50 retail price. This would make for a delightful $25-$30 vibe.

Use

The Duo Obsessions Entice vibe has a very nice shape and is aesthetically well designed. The texture is smooth and inviting. These features make it well suited for vaginal insertion though it can be used very effectively for clitoral stimulation as well. I really wanted to like this vibe.

Material / Texture

The soft ABS plastic skin on this vibe is a nice touch. It won't break down like some silicone skins and it isn't hard and cold like your generic plastic vibe. The wetter it gets the smoother it is. Nice glide. Odorless, tasteless.

Design / Shape / Size

The Duo has a 1 1/2" diameter and 5" insertable length. The head is rounded rather than tapered and there is no flared base. There are two "bumps" in the shaft contour. These features make it perfect for vaginal insertion but not well suited to anal insertion. Actually, anal insertation is not recommended with a tapered base like this. It can be used for clitoral stimulation though this is not making use of its best features.

The size may not be comfortable to small women or beginners. It is very much a traditional vibe. You are not going to leave this lying on the coffee table and pass it off as an object d'art. While it is pretty, it looks a lot like a vibrator.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Where this vibe falls short is in the actual vibrating. It has two motors with individual controls. One motor has five speed settings and the other three, theoretically creating fifteen distinct vibrational combinations. In reality it is a pretty standard high/low feeling. It is a little buzzy. You could probably hear it through thin walls but not down the hall. The three buttons light up with a bright blue glow when it is in use. On the up side, you can see where you are going with it. On the down side, so can everyone else.

For the motors to work at all, the base has to be screwed on very tight and in just the right position.

It is waterproof and can be used in the shower or tub, which is a plus in my book.

Care and Maintenance

The smooth skin works very well with silicone and water based lubes. Very easy to clean and comes with its own little storage box.

Experience

I was very disappointed with the first use. Opened it with my partner and was looking forward to a quick assembly and implementation - after all it was just a simple vibe, right? It took 4 AAA batteries, no problem. Screwed the cap back on and pushed the button - nothing! Twisted it a little harder - quick buzz and then nothing! I really thought I had just spent $50 on a total dud. After 30 minutes of both of us tinkering with it, we found just the right cap position and tightness required to make it work properly.

Determined to not let this dampen the mood, my partner set out to test all 15 of the variable speed settings on me. I could only distinguish four or five. The differences were so subtle that it really seemed like high, low, and a few stops in between.

I really want to like this product. I love the look, texture, and contour of it but it really fell short of the product description - and the high price tag.
Follow-up commentary
This toy is just collecting dust. I have used it a few more times since my initial review, but I really don't think about it at all when I reach into the toy box. I have much better vibes (that cost less and function better).

Welcome to EdenFantasys! I'm sorry you had a problem with this one. I honestly had no problem with the tightness in the slightest with my Lavish. Have you contacted EF to see if this is a product problem that could be replaced?

Actually I purchased this product from another site, and paid a lot more than the EF price. Overall, it is an acceptable product once you figure it out. I chalked it up as a learning experience - open and test before playtime!

    • How long do the batteries last, does anyone know ????
    • It depends a lot on the quality of the batteries you use, how often you use the toy, and whether or not you remove the batteries while the toy's not in use (doing so will extend the life of the toy somewhat, as well as the life of the batteries).
    • Mine usually last about 3-7 hours, depending on the toy I am playing with.
