Entice Your Obsession

The Entice is a good traditional vibrator with a twist. Its two motors create vibrations that can be felt not just at the tip, but strongly down the shaft as well. Separate control buttons for the two motors provide easy and customizable vibration intensities, and the on/off button allows quick turn off. The Entice is great to use solo, or with a partner, and fun in the shower or tub.

Use

The Duo Obsession Entice by Evolved is a great traditional vibrator with good vibrating power. With its two motors placed at the top and middle of the toy it’s best used inserted to stimulate the vaginal walls, but the tip also works well to stimulate the clitoris.

The Entice has a 4 3/4" circumference and will be enjoyed by those who like their toys a bit larger, as well as those who like a firm and solid toy. The rounded head is best for those who don’t need a tapered tip for insertion.

Due to its lack of a flared base, the Entice should not be used anally.

Material / Texture

The Entice is made of ABS plastic and is phthalates free. It has no smell or taste, even right out of the box. The entice is a lovely pink and has a soft, velvety texture which is smooth to the touch.

A very slight seam can be felt with your finger running up one side and down the other, but the seam cannot be felt internally and doesn’t detract from either the look or performance of the Entice.

The Entice is firm, and has no give either at its head or down the shaft.

Design / Shape / Size

The Entice is 7 1/2" long overall, with an insertable length of 5”. There are two bulges on the toy. The first is at the top and is about 1 1/2” long. This rounded bulge has a diameter of 1 1/2", and shrinks down to 1 1/4" right below.

The second bulge is about 1 3/4" long, and widens to 1 1/2" as well. Below this bulge, the diameter subtly decreases before widening to 1 1/2” for the rest of the shaft.

A silver band, just under 1/2" wide, separates the shaft from the black base. The base is 2” long (2 3/4" when measured down the front curve). It curves down to a taper and is comfortable to grip.

On the front of the base are 3 pink buttons. The two side by side are labeled 1 and 2, for the motor they control. The bottom button is the dedicated on/off button.

The base unscrews to reveal the battery compartment and a black battery casing. The battery direction is clearly indicated, and the casing holds 4 AAA batteries.

When closing the base, it must be twisted very tightly. If the base isn’t closed tight enough the Entice won’t turn on. Even if you think the base is closed, it should be given an extra twist to make sure it is seated firmly. This, along with the O-ring located inside the top of the base, ensures the Entice can be used in the shower or bath.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Entice has two motors, one in its tip and one midway down the shaft. This design allows the vibrations to be felt strongly all over the toy.

When the on/off button is pressed, both motors fire up at low level, and all three buttons are back-lit with a blue LED light. This light allows you to easily alter the vibrations of the motor you choose, as well as turn the toy off, in the dark.

Nine combinations of vibration are possible, although the box says 15. Pressing the button labeled 1 cycles the top motor through low, medium, and high steady vibrations. Pressing 2 cycles the bottom motor through the same settings. The vibrations of the 2nd motor don’t seem as strong as the top motor, but they are sufficient to strongly vibrate the shaft. When both motors are on high, the Entice is numbing when held in the hands.

The Entice is loud when held or used externally, but once inserted it’s very quiet. A little background music or blankets will effectively muffle the sound it makes.

This vibrator works well in the shower or bath, although it's easier to manipulate in the tub. Water is kept out of the battery compartment with the O-ring and tight seal the base forms with the shaft.

Care and Maintenance

Since the Entice is made of ABS plastic, it is non-porous and phthalates-free. It can be cleaned by washing it with antibacterial soap and hot water, and dried with a soft towel. The Entice can also be cleaned with toy cleaner or wiped with isopropyl alcohol. Abrasive soaps or scrubbers should not be used or they may damage the finish.

The Entice should be stored in its storage tin, and kept out of direct sunlight. The batteries should be removed when the Entice is not in use.

Packaging

Evolved toys have wonderful packaging, and the Entice is no exception. It comes in a cute metal tin, with a clear plastic lid attached by swing-up metal pieces on the top and bottom. These pieces keep the lid firmly in place. The Entice rests on a plastic insert inside the tin. The tin is an attractive and secure way to store the vibrator when it’s not in use.

The tin is light pink, with green and pink flowers around it. The bottom provides product information, as well as statements that the Entice is sold as a novelty only and should not be used for anything other than external use.

Personal comments

I like this vibrator quite a bit. The dual motors really give the Entice strong vibrations all the way down the toy, instead of just in the tip. The dedicated on/off button is always a plus. There are few things I dislike more than having to cycle through a toy’s settings to shut it off in a hurry.

With its curve, the base is easy and comfortable to grip. The button placement on the base is good, and I like how the LED lights show the buttons and eliminate fumbling in the dark. It’s also not easy to press the buttons by mistake when thrusting.

One thing to note in particular is the tightness of the base. Even when I had it on securely, I always had to give it an extra twist to make the battery connections and get it to turn on. This is also listed on Evolved’s website under a FAQ about their toys. Once you know to do this, it becomes a habit, and you shouldn’t experience any problems getting the Entice to power up.

Both motors of this toy run at the same time. When cycling through the vibration intensities, there is no option for turning one of the motors off. While this makes sense for the top motor, it would be a great option for the bottom motor, especially when the Entice is being used for clitoral stimulation.

The box mentions 15 vibration combinations, but I only found 9. It’s possible they are on the bottom motor and are subtle changes – the top motor definitely only has 3 speeds.
Follow-up commentary
I still enjoy the entice. What I like the best about this one is the two motors. These really make the Entice vibrate well down its full length, rather than just concentrated in the tip. I have never found the other 6 vibration combinations that this one advertises, but the 9 that is has are nice.

Having figured out to always really tighten the base, I haven't had any trouble getting this one to turn on. I also know at that point that it's completely sealed and ready to use in the tub.
