G-spot vibrator discontinued

Spread a Little Joy(stick)

The entire design of this vibrator is a throwback to the first vibrator you might have ever owned. However, improved materials and storage make it more appealing to discerning consumers.

Use

This is a simple G-spot vibrator; plain and simple. A straight shaft with a curve that will stimulate your G-spot, while you could also use it for allover body massage or clitoral stimulation. It's a quality toy that should last you a while if you take care of it -- and if you can justify the price.

Material / Texture

The shaft of the Flic Flac is made of silicone, but it's unlike any silicone that I've felt before. It's much more slick; neither shiny nor velvety. It feels as though it doesn't require quite as much lube or foreplay, despite the fact that it doesn't taper. Aside the G-spot curve, the Flic Flac is straight and smooth.

"Joystick" is embossed on the silicone at the very bottom of the shaft.

The head is the most dense with silicone, so it has some give, but is dense enough to offer some intensity with stimulation. The vibrator has a slight -- about 15 degree -- ability to bend. It bends above the motor, about 1" above the battery back. The silicone seems especially thin and has the most give here.

The benefit of silicone is that it's nonporous, so you can safely share or swap orifices after boiling or wiping with bleach. It also shouldn't stain or hold any smells, which is good. Unfortunately, this silicone is like any other: it collects dust and lint like crazy.

The battery cap is made of hard plastic that's easy to grip, because of the series of ridges. The transition between the two materials isn't seamless, but it's secure and uniform.

Design / Shape / Size

This toy has a simple design. The shaft is mostly straight with a rounded G-spot curve at the end. Although it gets a little wider, the difference between the tip and base is really negligible. The lack of tapering may man that this require some warmup for you, however.

The shaft is white with either pink or purple swirls. The color varies in intensity, giving this a tie-dyed sort of look. It's more "washed out" in some areas and more vibrant in others. On the bottom of mine, it almost looks like pink flames, while there are lighter pink swirls toward the top.

The battery pack is black with a grey cap. A black cap might look slightly more attractive but does not detract from the function.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This vibrator is super easy to use thanks to the dial base. Simply turn the dial to power it on and keep turning to turn it up. Repeat in reverse to turn it off. Unfortunately, the dial make require you to use two hands to operate if you're not very nimble in the fingers.

Because the Flic Flac uses a dial bases, there's no predefined settings. While you can feel the difference between the lowest and highest settings, the ones in the middle blend together. This is pretty common with dial bases. Furthermore, the range isn't the full turn radius of the dial. You have to turn it a little bit before it powers on to the lowest setting and the highest setting is reached before the dial stops turning.

When compared to other toys powered by 2 AA batteries, this one comes up a bit short. The vibrations are deep but weak. This might not be a problem if you prefer depth, but you might want to skip this one if you need power. Furthermore, you shouldn't just judge the power by the source on the product page as this can be a misleading. To compare, the Flic Flac is deeper but weaker than the Key Ceres but stronger than any toy powered by AAAs.

There are no settings, just steady vibes on this.

Flic Flac starts out at a low hum and moves to a louder buzz. Insertion will dampen this, but you may want to close the door or turn on a fan if you're worried about roommates hearing it.

Care and Maintenance

Because this picks up lint, a soap and water wash is the best way to clean it. Joystick includes a silver, satin bag that you can use to store it in to minimize lint and dirt. An o-ring protects the battery area from water. It's listed as water resistant, so washing and shower play are okay, but don't try to submerge it.

Packaging

Joystick packages its toys in simple cardboard boxes. You will probably recycle it or throw it away and use the included storage pouch instead. The box is a little bulky for storage. The box isn't necessary for usage, so you really don't need to look at it.
