The Scarlet G is listed as a G-Spot vibe, but, in my opinion, it is so much more than that! While using it as a G-spot vibe is wonderful, it can also be used to stimulate the clit, nipples, or any other sensitive zone that may get your juices flowing. Whether solo or with a partner, the Scarlet G can be used by newcomers and experienced users alike due to its simple, straightforward controls and sensuous, powerful vibrations.

One of the things I loved about the Scarlet G was just how smoooooth it was. Directly out of the box, it had a very slight odor, but nothing that won't fade with some use. Being made out of PU coated plastic, it is incredibly smooth to the touch, and it is both latex- and phthalate-free. According to Eden's material safety indicator, PU coated plastic has a rating of 7. As stated before, it is incredibly smooth to the touch, which makes inserting and holding it inside of you so very comfortable.

The design of the Scarlet G is very simple. It consists of a straight shaft with a rounded and angled head which, as a G-spot vibe, is perfect for hitting all the right spots. While the shaft may look round at first glance, when I gripped it, I actually found that it had a very slight triangular shape to it. While this may seem odd at first, it's actually a hidden bonus, as it made it easier to hold on to and maneuver.



While the website lists the overall length of this toy at 8.25 inches, I found that if you measure along the curve, it comes out a bit closer to 9.25 inches -- all but the bottom 1.25 inches of that is insertable. The circumference of the shaft is a little under 4 inches, while the circumference of the head is a little under 5 inches.



One thing that I was a bit apprehensive about before trying this toy was the angled head. Specifically, I wondered if the angled head was going to make inserting the toy difficult or uncomfortable. I am happy to report this was not the case. However, everyone's anatomy is different! If you have never tried a toy like this before, or if you are just beginning to explore your sexuality, I really would recommend having lots of lube and patience on hand the first time you take the Scarlet G for a spin.

The Scarlet G runs on 2 AA batteries and is operated via a dial on the base. It is multi-speed (though not multi-pattern), and the speeds are controlled by a simple twist of the dial. (Twist the dial the opposite direction to insert or remove the batteries!)



One of the things that really impressed me about the Scarlet G was that, unlike some other toys, the dial was incredibly easy to turn, even when I was testing it in the shower (because, don't forget, the Scarlet G is waterproof!). It twisted smoothly and easily, even with wet hands.

The vibrations in the Scarlet G are mainly located in the "head" of the vibe, though, when inserted, you can feel vibrations down the shaft as well. The design, however, really helps focus most of the vibrations right where they are supposed to be - at the top - making this an excellent G-spot vibe.

Another bonus to the Scarlet G was just how quiet this vibe was compared to the power of the vibrations it delivered. While not "earth-shaking," the vibrations were strong and quite pleasurable on the highest setting, while the noise level was kept low and discreet.

Care and maintenance for the Scarlet G is very easy. It can be used with either water- or silicone-based lubes, and then cleaned with either soap and warm water, or toy cleaner. Because the Scarlet G is waterproof, you don't have to worry about wayward splashes! However, please don't put Scarlet G in the dishwasher or try to boil it, for those methods will damage the electrical components inside the vibe.

Storage is just as simple - simply store the Scarlet G (with or without the box) in your favorite drawer, box, or toy chest, and it will be ready for the next night of fun! (For optimal battery life, you may want to remove the batteries before you store it!)

The packaging is simple - a plastic box with an inner shell to hold the toy. All parts of the packaging are plastic and can be recycled, or preserved for storage. The packaging is not discreet, as it has a clear "window" in the front and the toy is clearly visible.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Scarlet G. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it, as I tend to orgasm almost exclusively from clitoral orgasms and not from G-spot orgasms. So when the Scarlet G showed up on my doorstep, I didn't have many expectations other than that I would use it to enhance my clit orgasms.

Boy, was I wrong! While not earth-shattering, the Scarlet G definitely tickled me in all the right spots and made my personal time a much, much more pleasurable experience. While maybe not an "every time" toy, I have a feeling this is one that will be put into heavy rotation.
