The Prettiest, Most Fail Design Ever!

The design for this vibrator has aesthetics in mind but not functionality. The vibrations are extremely weak due to this making the toy pretty useless as a vibrator. Not to mention that mine broke within 2 minutes!

Use

The First Sight Love vibrator was love at first sight and then hate at first use. This vibrator looks awesome! It would be so cool if they sold kits to bedazzle your vibes. I would so do that, however the design of this one is horribly flawed. In turn, this makes the vibrator very weak and not very effective at producing orgasms (Who am I kidding? It wasn't effective at all.). The length is decent for a traditional vibrator but it doesn't do much good without power. At the very least...you can make it a pretty baton!

I can only recommend this to as a gag gift, a first vibrator on a cheap budget, or someone who wants a really cheap travel vibrator that they won't cry over if it gets lost as baggage claim, or damaged.

NOTE: Before I finished this review (after using the toy once)...it broke while I was reminding myself of how loud the toy is.

Material / Texture

The First Sight Love is made of a VERY cheap and light plastic. It is very easy to scuff and scratch. Mine was already f-ed up when I took it out of the package. It is free of harmful chemicals like phthalates though. It is also hypo-allergenic and latex free. The plastic is smooth, but doesn't feel like anything special. It has no smell or taste and creates a lot of sound with clanging when turned on. Plastic is semi-porous so use a condom if you want to share. It is really easy to fit a condom over this vibrator.
    • No odor
    • Smooth
    • Somewhat porous

Design / Shape / Size

This vibrator is a decent length and girth for being traditional in shape. It is a little over 7 " long and almost 4" in circumference which is about 1 1/8". The vibrator itself is much thinner and a bit shorter. It is pink and bedazzled in jewels that are messily glued on. The jewels are pretty though and are purple shades and clear tear drop shapes formed to look like flowers. Because this would be quite abrasive, there is a clear sheath over this. I'm not sure if it supposed to be glued to the base (it looks like there is glue...I think), but mine slips right off.

Since this is so traditional in shade plus has tons of sparkly eye catchers on it, it isn't discreet. However, since it doesn't collect dust and is very light in weight, it is pretty good for travel.

Functions / Performance / Controls

To use the toy, unscrew the bottom (which I think is how I may have dislodged the clear base form the base), and remove the paper insert that shows how to put the batteries in (2 AA). To turn on the vibrator, you turn the dial at the bottom. At first it stuck and then it because way too easy to turn. There are two speeds, but the difference between the two is so slight, it isn't noticed inside the body. The vibration levels are also among the lowest I have ever felt. I think this is because the sheath is only connected to the vibrator at the base and the INNER shaft is what is vibrating. The vibrations don't transfer to the outer part which is what makes contact. This toy was completely useless. The vibrations were too weak, even clitorally and the shape was too simple to provide any orgasms for me. The noise is also pretty high for the vibration level, although not as loud as other toys. This toy claims to be waterproof, but I don't trust the construction at all and would never use it in water.
    • Not enough variety
    • Not very discreet
    • Weak

Care and Maintenance

You can use any kind of lubricant with this toy, although you probably won't need much or any. To clean use a damp cloth and soap or anti-bacterial spray. To store put back in the package, a silk pouch, or even just by itself.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The packaging is a long think plastic box with some (but limited) information about the toy. Inside, the toy is in a plastic insert. The base does have directions for use, but I didn't even notice this til the third time I looked at the box. The box also states that it was made in China.
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

The toy broke after the first use! It hasn't worked since. I can't get it to vibrate at all.
Follow-up commentary
Don't let the jewels distract you! This toy is cheap and useless.

It broke apart and stopped working almost immediately and I never plan to replace it.
