Jolie - clitoral vibrator discontinued by Natural contours - review by MissCara

This toy was the very first sex toy I ever ordered. At the time, I got it from a mail order catalog while still living with my parents. Fast forward almost 11 years and it's still my go to toy. Sadly, after that many years of use, I think it's on its last leg, but I'll get back to that later.

This little blue wonder is obviously a clitoral vibrator and runs off of 1 AA battery. It doesn't matter which way you put the battery in, which is a plus when fumbling around in the dark. It's made from plastic and is light, but hard, which should be expected of a plastic toy. Being that it only measures about 4 inches from tip to end, I would NOT recommend this toy for vaginal insertion at all. It's best used for teasing or clitoral stimulation. It only has one speed setting, but that's more than enough to get the job done for me. If the speed was ever too slow for me, I would pop in a fresh battery and watch the speed increase. The contoured shape is great for indirect clitoral stimulation by putting it against the body's natural curves, or you can use the flat tip for a more direct vibration. The toy also claims to be waterproof, but in all the time I've had it, I've never used it in water. One thing I do love about it is that when twisting off the bottom to replace batteries, there's an "open, close, off, and on" setting. This means that if you replace the bottom and twist it one too many clicks when replacing the battery, you would only go to the "off" setting instead of turning the toy on by accident.

When I first got the toy, it was relatively quiet. I don't think anyone would be able to use the toy in the same room as someone else without them hearing, but it shouldn't be heard through thin walls. I have noticed lately that it seems to be louder than it used to be, but still provides the same amount of vibration. I believe this may be the beginning of the end for my old friend and will keep using it until it gives up on me one day, and I will happily order a replacement.

Still hands down my favorite toy! I'm so sad they discontinued it. Mine is hanging in there for now, but I know it's on its last leg. I actually bought a Essence Pure Energy as a possible replacement and it seems to be about as close to the Jolie as I'm gonna get. RIP, old friend.
