Good for Beginners

This cock ring is a rather simple and easy to use ring with the added 'quick release' feature. The fact that it stimulates both the cock and balls is notable and it does present a very nice 'package'. The 'quick release' feature is however this product's best strength and biggest weakness. The quick release is nice for beginners (being unable to remove a cock ring is a very stressful, unsexy feeling) and also allows you to customize the size of the ring; which is a HUGE bonus for first-time cock ring users. Upon buying the Double Helix ring I quickly tried it on and discovered that you could simple trim one side of the ring and it would snap in. I trimmed it to fit and was ready to go.
Being the first cockring I used with my girlfriend, the fact that it wasn't to extreme was a added plus. It went on very easily and was a very pleasant starter for our collection. It has stood the test of time as it is still in the bag of goodies and it is not intimidating and doesn't take a physics degree to put on!
The biggest compliant I have against this specific cock ring however is also related to the 'quick release' feature. Sometimes during vigorous sex the ring around my testicles will unsnap. Because the second ring (around the shaft) doesn't seem to unsnap, this does not rule out its cock ring effect. It is a little annoying however to have to stop and re-snap the second ring. This is however the only weakness this product has.
Cleaning is very simple, just soap and water, and like I said it has lasted over a year, which is quite nice considering it was not overly expensive to buy in the first place.

Has the rubber held up well or cracked and gotten dry over time?
Has there ever been any pinching when the ring unsnapped?
Has the rubber stretched out any, or has it stayed taut?
The rubber has held up very well in my opinion. THe fact that it was a rather inexpensive investment led me to doubt it's longevity and yet a year later its still kickin. The rubber has not stretched out any in the ring portion itself, but where the connection is has seen some slight stretching (i.e one side is slightly larger then the other). It has not caused any lack of function however. And lastly there is sometimes pinching when re-snapping the rings. THis is caused it part because I am normally in a rush to get back to the good stuff and because everything is in its 'fullest' state. Not too painful, but not ideal.

I really like the quick release idea. When it comes undone from the testicles during sex, is it necessary to rehook, or could that just be ignored?
