Passionista - guides to a better sex by Collins - review by Sabriel

Of the books that I've reviewed for Eden thus far, this one is definitely my favorite! It is intelligent, insightful, witty and just plain fun to read!

The book starts out going over male anatomy. You would think going into it that it would sound like high school health class - sort of boring, sterile "this is where the penis is" type stuff. Not with this book. The author uses intelligence, wit and downright stupid puns to get ideas and facts across, a big step-up from some of the other books I have read regarding how-to books on sex.

Dr. Kerner also gives insight into why men like certain touches - for instance, I had not known before reading this book that touching a man's inner thigh could act like a love-button, call me naive, but that is the truth. I found these insights incredibly useful, given that I am a female and tend not to be able to think like a man. Things like, making sure your man is naked (ahem, including sox and shirts guys…) so he feels everything to the fullest extent has made our love-making more pleasurable for him, which in turn, makes it better for me!

After the anatomy is well discussed, the then goes into techniques you can use to manipulate a man’s anatomy to stimulate various areas with the goal to produce greater pleasure. I really liked that for just about everything, he gave three ways of achieving the goal: orally, manually (hands) and vaginally. I personally don’t care for oral sex, so knowing techniques that could give similar pleasure using other methods was quite valuable to me and added to my opinion of the author’s credibility.

Overall, I found this to be an enlightening book and a joy to read. I thoroughly recommend it!

I have been working various aspects of the book in our foreplay and lovemaking... my husband seems to enjoy the attention thoroughly!
