Anal Sex Secrets review

No deep, dark secrets are revealed in Anal Sex Secrets, unless you consider it a secret that some women favor anal intercourse, but producer-director Dr. Michael Perry does provide basic information for those who are uninformed about using the back door. His three “secrets” are “lubricate, communicate, and do it slowly.” I would add, “penetrate,” but maybe that goes without saying. The doc instructs viewers to use lots of lubrication, have a full erection, go slowly, and let the woman guide the strokes and the speed.

The video is one of a series of educational videos from Access Instructional Media, which I assume is Dr. Perry’s baby. The production values are good, with sharp camera work and good lighting, and the actors are in good shape, displaying more body makeup than body fat. The sets are attractive, too, with lots of candles and stuff in the backgrounds.

I especially liked that sex was depicted equitably, with both partners portrayed as equals and each having a role. It’s mostly a series of scenes in which very attractive women are taking a cock in the outbox from their well-built partners, while the good doctor gives advice about anal in a voice-over that isn’t intrusive or distracting. Unlike porn videos, there are no “money shots” or cum-covered happy faces! Sex Secrets consists of overall shots of couples doing it affectionately without those endless close-ups of  thrusting cocks that I find so boring. These people actually display—gasp!—gestures of affection, a rarity in porn films, and there are no cum-covered happy faces!

If I could add anything to this video, it would be nuts-and-bolts information such as types of lubricants and how best to apply them, how to prepare to receive anal, and how to stretch the passage gradually to prevent painful experiences.

My only criticism is that the opening seven minutes consist of teaser ads from for other videos in the series such as The Fine Art of Cunnilingus and How to Give a World-Class Blowjob. When did they add pussy-eating to the fine arts? Call me Michelangelo!

It’s curious that there were no references to gay couples, given that anal sex is often practiced by them. Dr. Perry notes that “many straight men are now experimenting with anal sex pleasure.” To illustrate, my personal favorite, Lola, relishes Mickey’s finger in her ass while she masturbates to orgasm. In the following scene she attacks his butt with a dildo while sucking his cock. These two appear later in the Sybian scenes. Mickey rides a small dong on the Sybian as Lola appears to genuinely enjoy using the remote, but she still has to give the mandatory blowjob again.

There’s little humor in this video, but I chuckled at the number of references to “tight” asses. I imagine that porn actresses with tight assholes are about as common as tits on a rooster. Product placement includes a G-ring, a circular frame to hold the recipient, and the Sybian. If you haven’t rushed off to have anal with your partner by the end of the one-hour main presentation, you can watch an epilogue about  Dr. Perry, a former Catholic priest turned sex therapist.
