Doing It Together Is Right

The chemistry is real, you can see that. But the extensive talk about subjects not even remotely related to their own interactions with each other or sex life isn't a good lead-up to sex.

Pros
Great idea, attractive guys.
Cons
Not my bag, I guess. Still formulaic.

I was all set to get into this porn. I haven’t found much porn (movie-wise) that does it for me yet, but had not seen any of Comstock Films’|Damon and Hunter: Doing It Together real people series- real couples talking about their relationship and then having sex on screen, the same way they off camera. Sounded great: actual chemistry, as opposed to bad fake pleasure faces and formulaic positions, and cute gay boys. What more could I ask for?

Turns out, something else. I tried to watch the entire first half, but fast forwarded through a significant chunk of it. I just didn’t want to hear them talking about their families and religion while I was waiting to see some hot naked action. They also spent a good amount of time talking about 'coming out', gay social politics, etc. This may have been the actors' choice, but is this subject somehow required just because they're gay? I know the idea of this setup is to establish their intimacy and personal connection to each other, but that could have been done effectively in much less time, for me. There were very short (30 second) clips of them naked interspersed throughout this chunk, kind of the foreplay for their sex scene and to keep viewers interested, I would guess.

Finally, the second part of the movie rolled around. They’re both sexy, and have beautiful cocks, so I perked up again (pun intended) for a moment. However, the sex didn’t seem that different from a lot of standard porn clips I’ve seen- they exchanged cocksucking, switching back and forth too often for me to get into it, then moved on to other activities. I got the impression that this was a pre-planned encounter, even though it was meant to be a ‘slice of sex life’ kind of scene. And, this is definitely a personal taste, but it was just SO equal, so balanced. I do like my sex kinky- there was just not enough power dynamic of any sort here for me to get into. For some, that might be a huge plus. In fact, I still imagine this movie being an excellent porn choice- just know what you’re getting first.

I've been very curious about this movie for a long time. Forwarding through much of the first half does not bode well, though...

Great review! So many of these "reality" porns flicks are more staged then their Cali counterparts. Too bad this one didn't deliver

Yeah, the talking at the beginning doesn't do it for me, either. I get what Comstock is trying to do, but... I wanna see people fuck, not talk. Their chemistry should be apparent enough in how they fuck.

Epiphora- exactly! The chemistry is apparent, but is totally overshadowed by the set up.

I also reviewed a Comstock film and was not impressed- found it low budget and looked like a cheap hotel room. I have however heard that several people love them. Matter of taste I guess. On the one that I reviewed though the special features allowed you to skip the talking and go straight to the sex- with two different camera angles. That true here?

Reviews of porn are definitely needed! I also have trouble finding what I really love. Wild Orchid springs to mind at this point.
