How to Be a Bedroom Goddess review

While this is a cute book this is more of a fun and light read, this is not the type of book you would go to for real sexual advice instead it is a book that is more about loving yourself and embracing your goddess within.
Published:
Pros
Interesting information and history. Some good ideas and tips
Cons
A lot of common sense not a book you would want if you are looking for more information.

useful review
Recently while out to lunch with a group of girl friends the topic like it always will do changed to sex, whose having it, whose happy with it, whose not getting it enough etc. During this discussion one of my friends [lets call her Ali] admitted that her sex drive is almost non-existent at this point. Part of the problem she said is her lack of interest in sex which stems from the fact that she is the only person that her boyfriend of 2 years has ever been with and when they first started dating she used to fake her orgasms to make him feel better but now he just always assumes that she is satisfied as she has never bothered to tell him otherwise.

Upon hearing this I felt it was almost my duty to help and try to change her situation. So I took to the internet and began to look around for books and other items that might be able to help them both get on the right path. I stumbled across the book How to Be a Bedroom Goddess|How to Be a Bedroom Goddess and i thought to myself hey for the price i might as well get two as maybe I could learn something as well.

This book though ended up being more of an impulse purchase than anything else. While the book is attractively presented the first 43 of 64 pages are devoted to the Goddess through Time [Ancient Greece, Rome, the Enlightment etc], where as the remaining pages are devoted to the Modern Goddess and the 5-step modern goddess lifestyle plan.

The book offers tips and suggestions such as:

  - Change your attitude on lovemaking see it as not "romantic" but as a way of promoting good health;
  - Work gradually towards intercourse and build up arousal to the point of losing inhibitions;
  - Offers different suggestions and scenarios for role playing;
  - Be outside for at least one hour a day;
  - Drink 8 glasses of water a day to stay hydrated;

    So it sounds like this is a step up from Cosmo, but probably not for someone who is a little more experienced in the ways of the bedroom, yes?

    Drink water?  Yeah, that's even worse than the book review just posted that advised having two glasses of wine.  You might try "The Little Bit Naughty Book of Sex Positions."  I've found it an incredibly useful manual and have given it as a gift on several occasions.  There is also "The Little Bit Naughty Book of Sex," which unfortunately I haven't read; but if it's as good as the position manual, it would be well worth picking up.

    Did she end up finding it useful at all?

    Essin' Em - You pretty much hit the nail on the head with that.  It's not a bad book, its just not a book i would really recommend to someone for sex tips in the future.

    Dame Demi - I also got her the Ride 'Em Cowgirl Secrets to Better Bucking book which sounds like it might be similar to the Little Bit Naughty book.  From leafing through it i felt that in terms of sex manual it had a lot more to offer.

    Cock Wrangler - The book[s] was useful in the sense that they are opening up a little more and now beginning to at least talk about sex more.

    Drink 8 glasses of water? lol.. sounds like they were maybe trying to go the route of looking like a goddess as well? Or being healthy like one? I'm grasping at straws here, the book sounds like crap! lol.
