The Complete Idiot's Guide To Amazing Sex, Third Edition review

This 433 page, easy-to-read, paperback book (The Complete Idiot's Guide To Amazing Sex, Third Edition) delivers exactly what it says: this is a complete guide to the very basics of sex. It takes you three steps further than any basic sex ed you may or may not have recieved from school, and has far more reliable information than anything your friends might have given you growing up.

If you are a fan of Jeopardy and love to dazzle your friends and family with amazing trivia, this book is for you. Every chapter has "sexy sidebars" that give you quick tips, cautions, definitions, and "sextistics."

It is safe for the beginner delving into their sexuality, and probably gives you far more information than you thought you needed on human sexuality, sexual health, and basic human anatomy. It is set up in a non-threatening format that you wouldn't be to worried about your grandma seeing.

The first six chapters cover an all too important part of great sex: a well defined relationship, leaving the definition up to you. It discusses compatability, defining your needs and getting over those pesky moments of self-doubt we all seem to have sometimes.

Later chapters give some basic sex how-tos, in a direct and humorous way. There are a handful of full color, live-action photographs of different positions to try with your partners, and Part 4 is completely about "positions and playtime." None of the positions were new to me, although they may be new to someone else. I found the limited photos and limited "new" information to be the most disappointing aspect of this book. I had hoped for some more things to try with my significant other.

The end part of the book is devoted to trouble shooting sexual problems such as lack of orgasm in women and premature ejaculation for men. As well as discussing the variety of sexual variation and tastes amongst people.
