Like its eponymous website, "Oysters and Chocolate" (http://oystersandchocolate.com), this book is a work of erotic fiction written primarily by and for the female audience. This is evident in the myriad sensitive and subtle touches that really make this work sing.

Stories are divided into four categories: Vanilla (a classic, sweet, and romantically decadent dish), Dirty Martini (a distinctive, exciting cocktail with a naughty twist), Licorice Whips (a wild and strong flavored course that spanks the tongue with heat and bite), and Oysters (firm and sensual, with deep, round cups, sweet scents, and exclusively feminine flavors). The reader can choose a story according to their preference at the moment. This makes it an interesting and versatile read.

While I don't want to give away the secret filling in all of the truffles, so to speak, there are stories that include F/F, M/F, F/F/F/M, and more. Something in this collection is sure to please you.

Design

Oysters and Chocolate is discreet enough to read in public without a book cover. While its cover looks like an artist's interpretation of a woman caught in flagrante delicto, and its sophistication is well matched in the designer's choice of fonts and colors, its inner pages appear to be made of recycled paper. I, for one, love this because it demonstrates a commitment to green practices. There is no statement about this on the book or website, so it is pure conjecture. It does contrast with the outer cover, but readers are unlikely to notice or care because the erotica is so hot!

Experience

I thought that I'd bring Oysters and Chocolate with me to the cafe and read it while I drank my latte and ate a sweet. My train was late so I started reading it while I sat on a bench and waited. "The Taste of Love" by Alicia Night Orchid was almost too hot to read in public! I wished that I had a private place to slip away to so that I could finish myself off.
