Perfume oil discontinued
by Principessa Beauty

I smell like a princess

If you're a fan of floral scents, that linger but don't overpower, I'd give Mary Zilba by Principessa a shot. Sure, it's on the higher end price-wise, but you aren't paying for 4 ounces of alcohol and chemicals. You're paying for a quality blend of lovely smelling oils, that last for hours with minimal product output. A fantastic product for daily wear, or even to save for a special occasion.

Use

It's rare that I find a product on EdenFantasys that I can literally say I will use every single day, but this is one of those products. Mary Zilba by Principessa is advertised as a "high end" perfume, and while I wouldn't put it in the same category as some of the more expensive french perfumes that I've seen on the market, it certainly works for a great every day floral scent. If you're a fan of the darker, bourbon inspired perfumes, this may not be up your alley, though, because it is light and floral and very girly.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

I received mine in the smaller size, which is a .17 (5ml) bottle. The little glass that it comes in shows me that it's a pale yellow color, and if I hold it up to the light, I can see the way the oils inside move around. There's a distinct glimmer to the liquid in the bottle that you don't find in many perfumes (that are generally alcohol based). Because of this, it takes a lot less to use. Thickness wise, it's less viscous than I would imagine a 5ml bottle of vegetable oil would be, if bottled, but it's nearly the same color. It rolls on very light, and literally only takes a very small bit for optimum scent. Because if the very small amount needed, the consistency is also hard to judge. Once I roll it across the back of my left wrist, and rub my wrists together, it's been completely absorbed by my body. Because of this, it leaves behind very little residue, although if you were to directly touch where you applied it, you would feel that the skin there was nicely moisturized, since this does seem to be oil-based. Within 10 or 15 minutes of application, there is no residue at all.

Taste / Aroma

Perfumes are always hard to explain, because there are primary scents, and then accent scents. For me, the primary scent in this is jasmine, with an accent of gardenia and a very small hint of roses and lavender. Others have said that they smell citrus, but I don't pick up any of this on my body. It should be known, however, that every single person in the planet will experience a perfume differently than the next; Each of us have a different PH level, and scents react differently to my skin than it may yours. That all being said, I love the floral scent, and I'm generally not a girly-girl when it comes to how I want to smell. I side towards darker scents, and citruses.

For the sake of my review, I did lick my wrists about 10 minutes after application. I don't taste much; sort of how you'd experience licking your hands after applying lotion. There's a little bit of a taste, but nothing that would prevent your lover from kissing your neck while you were wearing this.

Performance

As I stated, Mary Zilba can be worn all day long -- and, in fact, if you apply this, it likely will. I found I could smell this on my wrists hours after I applied it. If I'm putting it on just my wrists, I'll still be able to smell it 5 or 6 hours later. If I'm applying it also on my neck and chest, that scent will linger even longer. This is easily a once-a-day application if you're using it for a date, or work. If you want it to smell from sun up until sun down, you'll likely have to re-apply it. Due to the ingredient list simply being "parfum", I'm going to go out on a limb and assume this won't be an issue for those with sensitive skin or allergies.

Packaging

This came shipped to me in an itsy-bitsy little box. On the front is the "MZ" logo, underneath it stating "by Princepssa" in small grey writing. Under that in even smaller writing is "perfume oil/huile parfumée/5ml e.17 fl oz. The back of the box lists the ingredients as simply "parfum", with a recycle sign, and then the bar code, and contact information. Inside the box is a thick glass bottle with nothing more than a white label, with "MZ by Principessa" on it. The lid is black, and screws on nice and tight. This hasn't leaked on me yet, and I've carried it around in my purse (and if you knew me, you'd know what a feat it was to even find this in my purse, because it's always filled to capacity with random objects, so the fact that this was jostled around in there and didn't leak says something about the packaging, for sure). When you unscrew the lid, it has a ball-style applicator that is meant to simply be rolled across the skin for dispensing.
