Illume the 23 collection by Illume candles

My wife and I used the candle for our “sign” to each other. When either of us wanted a romantic, sexy evening (or afternoon… or morning!), then we lit the candle.

The scent was pretty weak, almost unnoticeable. We live in a very small one bedroom apartment, and we still could hardly smell the candle, even in our bedroom. We had planned on using the aroma to let each other know we were “feeling it,” but the candle simply did not have a strong scent.

It is a very elegant candle and looks very classy on our bedside tables. I’m not sure if it was the special wax or if it was the wick, but the candle gave a very sexy glow. One candle was enough to see where the other was, but not enough to make my wife feel like she was on display.

I typically don’t like spending money on candles because they do not last long. This candle seems to burn extremely slowly. I would guess we’ve had the candle burning for around 20 hours or more, and so far, only about a third of the candle has burned. This is a great display candle or long use candle because it burns so slowly. Our power went out for 3 days during an ice storm and that is when we used the candle the most… and we were shut in during that time so we took full advantage of using the candle for our “sign” too!! Using candle light is a new thing for me and it really adds a whole new romantic ambiance to every evening.

Overall we are about 75% satisfied with the candle.  It serves our purpose as a visual “sign,” but it lacks the strong aroma that we had hoped for in order to tingle the senses.  I particularly appreciate how long lasting the candle is; definitely a good investment for a decorative unnoticeably aromatic candle.
