Sensuous bath oil - oil discontinued by Sensuous Beauty - review by Alaska Child

I used this in the bath and it was great! It definitely made my skin all soft and silky. Just don't use too much like I did the first time; my skin was kind of oily feeling for awhile afterward, because it couldn't all soak in. If you use the 1 Tb in the bath like the instructions say, it is just perfect.

It says that you can also use it for massage, however the bottle is simply a glass bottle with a big hole in the top. Not my ideal situation for getting oil out for massaging. Every time I try to use it as massage oil, I pour out way too much!

This bath/massage oil is very runny. It is definitely an oil, and the hole in the top is too big to easily pour out into your hands for massaging. It definitely stays on your skin long enough for a massage, it doesn't soak in immediately like some others do. One or two applications should be enough for a decent massage. It does leave the skin feeling slightly oily until it is absorbed; however after it gets absorbed, your skin feels luxuriously smooth and silky.

There are four different fragrances, I tried the Tropic of Love fragrance, and it smells great! Kind of a mixture between coconut, vanilla, and sandalwood. The smell is kind of strong when first applied to the skin, but not too much so, and after it has been absorbed it leaves a nice subtle aroma. It does not say that it is edible or kissable, so I did not try and see how it tasted.

When used for massaging, the oil lasted long enough that it only needed to be reapplied once, maybe twice. After it sits for a bit, the oil just gets absorbed into your skin and there is no need for a shower afterward.

I definitely like how it soaks into the skin and leaves it feeling soft and silky, rather than oily. Also I love how I can just pour some into the bath to get the soft fragrance all over.

This oil comes in a very attractive glass bottle. With all the instructions and ingredients listed on the side of the bottle itself, Hooray! No papers to lose! I would probably not want to travel with this, simply because I would be afraid of the lid coming unscrewed and spilling the oil all over everything. However the bottle itself is fairly discreet, saying massage and bath oil on it.
