Shimmery body spray is a fun way to add a bit of shine and glitter to your skin. Dona has made a very glittery spray that will add a bit of shine and sparkle...everywhere. Spray on your cleavage area for a bit of subtle sheen, your arms, legs or other body part you want to accent.

The shimmer spray came into its glory for adding a bit of sparkle to my hair without weighing it down. I also enjoyed adding a bit of glam to my sweaters, tank tops and lingerie--without the oily stain you so often receive from these products.

I even tried this on my swags above the curtains in the living room, the cloth shower curtain in the bathroom and on my tapestry I have hanging in the den. It added a subtle bit of sheen and shimmer to the rooms without any of the gaudiness of the shiny fabrics. The shine lasted for a couple of days before dispersing into glitter space, otherwise known as the vacuum cleaner when the glitter fell onto the floor.

Water--the spray is very thin, watery and runny. I was worried at first that the spray would be too glittery, judging by the amount of glitter shown inside the bottle, but there is no glue or tackiness to the spray. It comes out as a mist of water with small micro-particles of glitter. There is no oily, slick, tacky or pasted feeling on your skin when it is dried. Just a slight grit from the glitter if you are really paying attention.

Blue Lotus has a glitter color of blue, but on your skin, it is just a shimmer without the added color. When you first spray the shimmer on, it will bead up and drip leaving the glitter behind. My husband thought this looked a bit like the swimsuit models and their oiled up skin, which he found kind of hot looking. I hated it and wanted to either wipe it off or rub it in.

When the moisture evaporates, it does leave a light shimmer on your skin but the glitter does flake off onto your clothing, bedding or lingerie. When applied to your hair, it tends to have a better staying power since it gets trapped between hair strands, but it will still fly off onto your shoulders or into space if there is a wind.

The Blue Lotus shimmer spray has NO aroma!!! This is one issue I have with the product. I wanted to complete the aromatic line with this spray, however there is absolutely no scent to it whatsoever. I was very disappointed, but on the plus side--it does allow you the versatility to use this with whatever perfume you are wearing at the time without a scent clash.

I did notice an unpleasant taste to my lips from the over spray to applying the shimmer to my hair. This is a very distinct and disgusting chemical flavor--wash your face immediately!!

For a light and subtle shimmer, spray on skin while holding the bottle about 18" from your skin. This will minimize the water-like pooling on your skin. Let it dry and for more pronounced shimmer repeat until the right amount of glitter is present--let the spray dry between applications.

Clean up is simple, wash or wipe off with a damp cloth. If you use it on your drapes, vacuum off. For your hair, wash thoroughly or brush for about 5 minutes.

There is going to be glitter left in your midst. Not enough to track you down, but enough to tell where you were for a prolonged period of time. My car seats, furniture and bedding all are wearing the Dona shimmer spray--and not from direct application, either. The majority of the spray will stay in place for a few hours, but you are going to lose some as time goes on. If you are not a fan of glitter around your car, house or bedroom--you are not going to be a fan of the shimmer spray!!
