Wii-massage

I love the fact that you can use the Magnifique as both a vibrator and a massager. It's discreet shape, smooth texture, and quietness definitely make it a good buy.

Use

There is nothing I love more than a nice, relaxing massage. Well, nothing that is, except for pleasuring my favorite spots. The great thing about the Magnifique is that it does both. As soon as I had it out of the box I asked my boyfriend to massage my back and neck with it. While I do have to admit that I had my reservations about how good the massage would feel (since I am a bit picky when it comes to what I get massaged with), I can now say that it was blissful. It simultaneously relaxed me and got me in the mood for playtime. The only criticism I have as far as the massager function goes is that I would prefer the tip to be broader and flatter rather than thin and curved, but since the thin curved tip works better for the vibrator function I really can't complain all that much. As a vibrator, it's equally delightful. You can use it to stimulate your clitoris, g-spot, and (even though I don't like anal penetration) it feels really nice if you use it on the outside of the anus.

Material / Texture

The Magnifique is made of smooth, hard plastic. I happen to love this particular material because of the resistance free texture. I have tried other toys with a semi-resistant texture, and although they feel great on my clit, they tend to offer far too much resistance when I insert them (even if I'm really wet). I would definitely recommend the Magnifique, and other similar smooth, hard, plastic toys, for beginners so that have "smooth sailing" for their first few toy experiences. The more resistant materials might just hurt or frustrate them like it did for me.

Design / Shape / Size

My boyfriend and I both think that this vibrator resembles a Wii controller. So now every time one of use wants to use it we'll say, "Hey do you want to go play Wii?" Although it does resemble a Wii controller the shape of the Magnifique is longer and more slender. It also starts off thick at the base where the controls are located, then thins out in the middle, then becomes thick again at the other end. The shape is very unimposing, and because of the non-threatening shape that doesn't scream "SEX TOY!" (and because it's also a massager) you won't have to worry about leaving it out in the open. The Magnifique is 7 and 3/4" long, 4 and 1/2 inches being insertable.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Magnifique is both quiet and very easy to use. It has a sliding control that you have to click up or down on to change the intensity of the vibrations. There are three settings, the first of which is a little weak, the second pretty nice, and the third, for lack of a better word, orgasmic. I do have one thing that I didn't like about the controls, however, but it's a rather minor nuisance. When you slide the controller from the off position to the on position it starts off on the highest setting, whereas I prefer for vibrators to start off with the lowest setting and work up from there. The strongest vibrations can be felt throughout the curved tip, although you can definitely feel them throughout the shaft as well.

Care and Maintenance

This massager can be used with water, oil, and silicone based lubes... so take your pick. Although I must say once I started playing with this baby I didn't need any lube. To clean the Magnifique you can either rub it down with alcohol or wash it with soap and warm water. If you use the soap and water be advised that you'll need to wash it using a washcloth since the Magnifique isn't waterproof (so please don't submerge it!)

Packaging

I absolutely loved the packaging that the Magnifique came in. Its a navy blue box that slides out of a translucent plastic cover. On both sides there is a picture of the Magnifique. I actually liked the box so much that I'm using it as its permanent storage place instead of storing it in the drawer with all of my other toys.
Follow-up commentary
My boyfriend and I still use this guy on each other, whether we want a relaxing massage or we want to be naughty. This toy is a great addition to our collection.

Nice review. I have a Wii, so the title intrigued me. I like that you included where the vibrations can be felt on the shaft. With plastic toys it's good to note that a condom or other barrier should be used if playing between the anus and other areas since plastic can't be boiled.

Very good review; right down to the 'washing' part....I must admit, I had never heard of this before reading this review (and, of course, being a 'virgin' in the "SEX TOY" arena, I am sure there will be LOTTTS of things I see that I had previously never heard of!!)...

But, alas, I am intrigued. I lovelovelove massage. Yes...LOVE. IT. If there is *any product* existing in the market that can make my Matthew give me a better massage, then, I am ALL EARS!!!!
