Not the Fun Time we had Hoped For...

The Pipedream wedge was really not what I was hoping for, but it sure does make a great back support!

Use

This wedge is a lower priced alternative to the Liberator products. It is intended to make various sex positions easier, like lifting the pelvis during missionary and offering support during doggie. It is simple enough that anyone would be able to work with it, from beginner to advanced...all you have to do is inflate it, which is difficult. I suggest using an air mattress pump if you have one, otherwise you might me to winded to actually use the pillow!

After a failed, uncomfortable experience during sex, I have managed to find other uses for the pillow, so I am not out the money. It makes a great back support for the bed, couch, arm chair, desk chair...you get the idea. I have also used it rest my laptop on a time or two. For those reasons, I gave the Pipedream wedge 3 stars.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material

The Pipedream wedge is made of velvet coated vinyl, with plastic handles on either side for leverage. In my opinion, the design is a more cumbersome version of the Liberator wedge. I found the seams in the fabric to be uncomfortable and the material to be scratchy.

The valve did not seem to be very air tight, and the pillow lost air very quickly during use. It became flat and floppy, and lost the support it offered. My Boyfriend did not like the handles and found them in the way and not necessary.

It does not come with any kind of cover, which would be a bonus in helping keep the pillow lint free. It just gets so linty so quickly that it's unappealing to use.

Performance

The Pipedream wedge did not perform during sex as I had hoped it would. I was very excited to bring it home, but was let down during use. It took too long to inflate, then lost air with rapid speed. The handles only got in the way, and did not aid in any position. We ended up tossing it to the side, where it collected lint, dust and hair in a matter of minutes.

It has been relegated to back support duty.

The box was very compact and not wasteful. I wish that the pillow had come with a storage bag, which would help with lint/dust collection during storage.

Care and Maintenance

In addition to being difficult to inflate without an air mattress pump, this pillow also picks up ANY fiber, hair, lint, etc. that it comes into contact with. We have two boxers, so no matter how careful, the pillow was covered in a matter of minutes. They velvet and vinyl combination of materials acts as a magnet, so I would not suggest this for someone with cats, dogs or other pets with hair.

If you are considering purchasing this item, I suggest putting your money aside to save for a Liberator...

My boyfriend found this pillow to be more in the way than helpful. We have gone back to using just plain old bed pillows.
Follow-up commentary
The Position Master has been flattened and stored. It is just too much of a lint magnet and does not have enough support for my taste.

I have this. Definitely agree that an air pump of some kind is needed besides human lungs! But a tip I have, is that it fits (just barely!) into a normal size pillowcase. It's a little bit of a struggle getting it in, since the fuzzy finish tries to grab the pillowcase fabric, but definitely worth it. Of course if you deflate it a bit, it'd be even easier - just be sure the air valve is on the open end so you can refill it.

      I've never seen it happen before either.
      There has been a number of posts in the forum that have been flagged and I didn't understand why.
      Flagging isn't something I get into. If I find something offensive or whatever, I'd prefer to just leave the post.
