Adam & Eve Lube

Lubricant by Topco

Published: August 16, 2008
useful review
Definitely a must buy. Comes relatively cheap for such a large quantity, and with its thickness you won't be needing a lot for each session. Plus it works great for anal penetration.
Pros:
Thick
Single hand pump operation
Odorless
Relatively cheap
Cons:
Securing the pump for storage requires expulsion of lube

This toy was definitely designed
First, I must say I love this lube. I love it much more than I thought I could ever love a gelatinous liquid intended to help put things inside me. I had been using Colt Slick for awhile, but not until I tried Adam&Eve did I realize how important a thicker solution is.

I imagine it is a bit too thick for skin on skin, though I have little experience with that. Adam&Eve has about the consistency of hair gel, so it doesn’t run, and a small amount goes a long way. Being a thicker lube, it works very well with anal penetration. My toys are about 2 inches in diameter and I find that it is much easier to get things going than it was with Colt.

As with all water based lubes clean up is not a major issue, as much of it is absorbed into the skin. But what is amazing about Adam&Eve is, once I was done I didn’t feel the slightest bit sticky or the desperate need to jump into the shower. I may even go so far as to say I felt mildly fresher afterwards. I was even comfortable enough to put my dildos away, check my email, and feed my cat before hopping into the tub.

As for as longevity goes, I have only one other lube to compare it to, Colt Slick. But I found that they both last about the same time, though it depends on the texture of your toys, size and how vigorously you are using them.

My one complaint is not with the lube itself, but the bottle, and all pump bottles in general. The pump can be fastened down to make leaks less likely, but this requires you to press the pump, which expels lube. So you need to either plan ahead or just not fasten the pump after use. Other than that I am a big fan pump bottles, as they can be operated with one hand.

Hmm...well, if I had to call the scent something...I guess it would be a bit sweet...However I cant taste it so much. But it probably wouldn't be best to go by my judgment...I imagine we have different standards of sweetness...

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

I have had some lubes with glycerin have horrible effects on me and others have no adverse effects at all. The main issue is what type of glycerin, and how much there is.

It would help me a lot if you could tell me, if this lube has a sweet smell or taste. The sugary consistency/taste/smell etc usually means there is too much glycerin in it for me.

A way to prevent lube from squirting out everywhere is to unscrew the cap then position the pump facing into the bottle. Press the top down until it clicks and the lube left in the straw will squirt right back into the bottle.

Nice review. Check out Maximus- it's one of the best thick, water-based lubes out there.
For females looking at this lube- it does have glycerin, so if you're yeast infection-prone, beware!

Sounds like a good alternative for a gel lube! Surprised it left you feeling so clean!
