Wet platinum safe sex kit - romantic sex kit by Wet Lubricants - review by indiechick

Like its counterpart the Wet Safe Sex kit, this kit comes with lube and a single condom in a small cardboard folder that is about the size of a business card. I have used both, but go back to the water based one every time. This is a person preference, I choose water based over silicone lubricant but I still recommend this kit to anyone who does not agree with me.


The lube. The lubricant is Wet Lubricants Premium Silicone Lubricant, which if you decide you like it is for sale in larger sizes ranging from 1.5oz to 8oz on the Edenfantasys.com website. It is not my favorite silicone lubricant out there. I use to only use silicone lubes I love them and then discovered that they don't work with toys or in fact are not the best of friends with the inside of the female body. So I do have experience with silicone lubes. This one like I said is not great. While its title is "Get wet longer" I had the opposite interaction with it. I felt like I get sticky tacky almost immediately into using it. I went to wash it off and it washed right of...not what you are looking for with a lube that you may hope to use in the shower. It does not have a taste nor does it smell fruity like some of the other silicone lubricants I own and for that reason alone my partner "didn't mind it".

The condom. It is your standard lubricated condom, so the extra lube packet may not be needed for some people. I however am not some people and while I can sometimes get myself going enough that I don't need lube, I usually need a little bit to start me off right. The amount on the condom was not enough to do that for me. It is a straight condom with no textures, which is a bit of a let down, but I realize this is being marketed to everyone as a safe sex kit and not everyone likes textured condoms, though it would be nice.

It is the size of a business or credit card and will fit in any small handbag or clutch for a night out. This is where mine goes, because you never know where your night is going to take you, but I always like to be safe. So even though I struggled with the lubricant, I appreciated easy access to safe sex.
