This toy was definitely designed
I was very excited about getting a lubricant that would warm on contact. As a person who loves, temperature-wise, hot things, the thought of a lubricant meant to warm with contact made me shiver with anticipation. However the reality of the product was much more of a let-down then I could have imagined. The lubricant does warm a little, but it only warms to room or body temperature and no warmer. It was very disappointing to expect my toys to heat up and give even more feeling and get nothing. Maybe I’m too picky or was expecting to much, but when I heard the lubricant was meant to ‘warm on contact’ I just expected to get more heat then I was producing by myself.
The fact that it does not do what it says is not the only failing. It’s really just not thick enough for anal play, even smeared over my favorite toys it still ran towards the bottom like water or saliva. I know it’s water based, but I prefer something thicker for easier play. The
H2O warming lubricant also leaves an oily, slightly sticky residue after it dries, which is unfortunately rather quickly. I really did not enjoy this particular lubrication at all and could never recommend it to someone. The top is fairly standard, but the fact that it leaves the oily coat behind means that after a few uses the bottle itself needs to be washed or it’s like trying to get a grip on soap.
All in all, I’d give this product a failing one star out of five. While it does work as an adequate back-up in times of dire need, it would certainly not be my first choice of lubrication. The only saving grace of this lubricant (if you can really call it a saving grace) is that it’s so incredibly watery that it runs out of the bottle quickly. Which, as I can never just how fast it’s going to move, means I don’t end up using very much at a time.
There aren't any heating silicone lubricants that I could find, and that was what I really wanted to try. If it actually heated I probably wouldn't care that it's not thick enough and dries quickly. My other water based lubricant is not quite that watery.
If you want a thick lube try silicone.. water based lubricant is just what it says it is... watery!
Thanks for providing a new and enlightening review. My experience with "warming" lubes has been pretty mixed as well, so I tend to try and stay away from them for the most part. It's too bad this one didn't work out for you. It's always lame when an anal lube doesn't stay where you need it to. Thanks for taking one for the team.
I did try applying to the skin directly, but I didn't try blowing on it. I might attempt that next time but it's kind of disappointing it would require that as a precursor.
No problem, I always read reviews by other people before buying something so I try to review stuff that hasn't been tested yet.
Thanks for the warning. Despite their reputation, I've not been terribly impressed with the System Jo lubes I've tried.
That's too bad... Did you apply it to your skin directly, or just to toys? Also, might try blowing on it, etc., to stimulate a bit. Sometimes that seems to help with sensation lubes.
