If you are looking to catch your teacher's attention, this barely-there number will definitely have you staying after class. With a skirt that is only 6 1/4" long it will keep your girly bits from showing in front, but just barely (for those with male bodied traits- your bits could very well make a public appearance as the skirt is very short. If you don't wish that to happen panties will be necessary.) The ties for the skirt are 60" long from end to end, 76" long end to end if stretched so, in this aspect, the skirt can fit a large number of sizes. I discovered (much to my dismay) that the plaid portion that makes up the skirt is a mere 16" wide! This is not going to cover front and back of any but the most petite of figures and, in fact, is tied in the back like an apron on the model pictured on the box.

The collar and tie are my favorite part of this outfit- I love the way the tie hangs and the fact it is backed by the plaid fabric. The backing is a nice touch because if the tie flips around it's still patterned. The tie is 14" long and 3" wide at it's widest point and is reinforced between the front and back with what feels like a thin plastic sheet. This sheeting serves to keep the tie from curling as it is made from the same stretchy spandex as the skirt. One concern I have about this reinforcement is, if folded in the same place for an extended time period, it could develop a permanent crinkle. The collar is 16 1/4" long when laid flat and measured from end to end with 1/2" wide strips of velcro on the ends as fasteners. The collar is made out of soft white polyester and is 1 1/4" wide at the narrowest and 3 1/4" wide at the points.

The packaging advises that this school girl outfit should only be hand-washed and should not be tumble dried, bleached or dry cleaned. I second the hand-washing as the edges of the skirt are unfinished and will ravel and curl if stretched in the washer. The ties for the skirt are also not back-stitched so the stitching could easily unravel if care is not taken. The tie and collar are finished only by serging leaving the potential for a shaggy fraying appearance as the fabric is not folded under and hemmed properly. The box could possibly be used for storage if you were so inclined, though my box is coming apart and there is a model on both the front and back of the box so your mileage may vary depending upon your personal situation/ condition of your box.
