These stockings are definitely a unique piece to add to your collection. Instead of the vivid red you see in the photos though, you'll end up with a more crimson red. The closed toe makes these more comfortable than a lot of other fence net stockings and they're pretty comfortable in general. They won't necessarily look great on thighs larger than 19 1/2" or so, but they're still a solid piece to add to any collection if they'll work for you.Published: January 29, 2012

The packaging was very typical of Leg Avenue; one side pink and one side black, and both sides have a picture of a model wearing the stockings. The packaging also gives you the sizing and materials and care. These stockings are 70% Nylon and 30% Spandex, and should be hand washed in warm water and drip dried. You'd probably be ok though through the washer if you use a lingerie bag.
These stockings are a one size item, and to give you a point of reference as to what Leg Avenue considers to fit most, visiting the sizing guidelines says you you should be about size 6-11, waist of 23-29", hips of 34-40", and weigh between 90-120 pounds. I'm about a size 6, 5'2", have about a 29" waist and measure about 34" around the top of my hips and 38" around my butt. I have an inseam of about 29". When worn higher up my thighs they dug in visually, but weren't uncomfortable.
The design on these is pretty simple, fencenet stockings with a red top. A fence netting is similar to fishnet, only larger really. The band around the top is about 3" tall and pretty sturdy. It will roll if you have it too far up your thigh, but you can also use garters to keep them up better. They'll be a bit of a pain with most garters, but should hold well enough. The pretty bow is a few inches across, and can easily be removed if you don't like the way it looks. If you do, you don't have to worry about being too easy on it, because it does feel like it's sewn on pretty well. The color of the band is a lot brighter in the photos on the site, and when it arrived it was more of a crimson red than a fire engine red.
A nice feature that these stockings have is a closed toe. This has more of a conservative approach with the closed toe in that it's there, but it might also be hard to not accidentally slip out of if you're doing a lot of walking in open toed shoes.
The craftsmanship on these was pretty nice. They didn't scream "super high quality" but nothing screamed "shoddy" either. Since there's no backseam, there's nothing you have to worry about lining up as you're pulling them up your leg except for the toe piece. As for comfort, I found them comfortable a little lower on my thigh, closer to right above my knee. They weren't really uncomfortable higher up on my thighs, but just more comfortable a little lower down.

Experience
I'm overall pretty happy with these. They did roll over until the bows stopped them, but garters would have kept that from happening. However I didn't need garters to keep them up since they seemed to do that pretty well on their own, surprisingly enough. They stayed comfortable for hours while I was wearing them, and stayed on during sex in a few different positions as well. The only real flaw I can find to them is that they aren't going to fit larger thighs.

I wonder if there are defects or variation between different sets of these. When I wore these that low where they fit good in the band, the pattern was too scrunched and I'm taller than you...that shouldn't be. But I like wearing thigh highs higher, so it would have bothered me anyway. Either way, good to know some pairs of these work on shorter folk. If you buy a second pair in the future, I'd be interested to know if they were the same as these.
