A Flowery Friend for Beginners

This softie is great for those who enjoy the softness of jelly but can't give up their love for silicone. Flowers dance their way down the base to an easy to turn dial that speeds up Cupid as fast as you'd like to go. This may not deliver an arrow to the heart for advanced users, but for beginners, this toy is simple to figure out and a great starter to toys with texture.

Use

What Cupid lacks in vibration, he makes up for in texture. A wrapping vine of flowers will graze across your most sensitive pleasure zones and his plush silicone will leave you with less "Ouch!" and more satisfaction.

This would make an excellent first vibrator for someone delving into a bit of texture curiosity or someone who wants a vibrator with a little more oomph than a traditional design. The color is friendly and gentle, just like the cushy material that won't hurt the less experienced or even someone who just prefers a softer toy.

Material / Texture

If you're a more advanced user, you may glance right past this little guy but for the price and expectancy, I was pleasantly surprised by the softness of the material.

A cascade of flowers align the base and present both a unique and useful texture. This toy comes close to feeling similar to jelly but alas, it's silicone and therefore much more safe and reliable not to wear quickly. However.. I've had my cupid and used him about three times in a month's period and the material is beginning to pull away from the base near the dial. While this toy is affordable and you get what you pay for, it shouldn't be pulling away so soon and with such little use.

The entire shaft is velvety to the touch until you get to the plastic dial near the bottom. What isn't plastic on this toy, is made of Silicone, which is by far the safest of materials and this toy has just a pinch of rubber added to it. No worries, it still isn't porous and can be used with water based lubricants safely.

There is no funny smell when unpackaging this item, a major plus for a lower end toy. When using the toy, the texture really grazes the vaginal walls, but gently, and provides stimulation that is gentle enough but still can get the job done for someone who's dipping their toes into the waters of textured toys.

Design / Shape / Size

Cupid has a feminine curved body and stands 7 1/4'' tall with 6 of those inches insertable. You've got an average sized vibrator on your hands and that pairs hand in hand with this being a great vibe for beginners. Width wise, a circumference of 5 1/2'' is what you can expect.

The slight waves built into the base are truly incredible for that gentle bit of pleasure you'll be missing with a curve lacking traditional vibrator.

This toy has a dial base that can be turned and above it, the battery compartment can be accessed by unscrewing the plastic base of the toy. It takes two AA batteries, which is simple enough, just slip them in and you're ready to go.

This isn't the most discreet of toys, as it's pretty obvious what it's meant for and the flowery texture doesn't look like it'd appeal to a back ache very much. It's suitable for travel in the sense that it's light weight, but I've found when resting next to other toys that mine has been damaged when rubbing against a Doc Johnson toy I own. A bit of Jelly material has rubbed off onto the base and won't come off, so be careful where you lay your cupid when storing toys or traveling.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The overall vibration of this toy is pretty average, dipping under that just a small bit. I'd give it 2.5 bees if I could, but with brand new batteries it can reach 3.

To control the vibrations, simply turn the dial located at the bottom base of the toy until you've reached your desire max and if you'd like to go up from there, turn the dial more. It's a really simple feature, and for beginners, shouldn't take long to get used to and figure out. The dial has the direction to turn for a lower setting and higher setting, which I thought was a nice touch.

As far as noise goes, again, 2.5 bees would be pretty accurate. It's by no means a noisy toy, but it isn't silent so if you're living with parents, a roommate, or friend, you might want to keep this one under covers and behind closed doors just to be safe -- and out of the shower!

This guy isn't water proof and you'll kill it if you submerge it in the bath or shower. Also, don't attempt to slide Cupid anywhere that isn't vaginal - there's no flared base and it could be extremely dangerous due to the fact that this product definitely isn't meant for anal use.

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is well known for being a dirt lover, but since this isn't a porous toy, simply be careful with sharing and use condoms if you plan on using it with multiple partners.

This isn't by any means a high maintenance toy, in between washes are ideal. Use an antibacterial soap or a toy cleaner and hold it under a faucet, being careful not to get water near the battery compartment. Due to the texture of this toy, a quick wipe down most likely won't suffice unless you make an effort to get in all the grooves the raised flowers create.

Silicone isn't compatible with any other lubes but water based lubes. I personally use Sliquid, and it's yet to fail me. Don't ever use silicone lubes with a silicone toy, as it can damage the material and it'll be no good in a short time.

As a side note, my cupid has let me know jelly toys are a no go when storing my toys together. My Doc Johnson Lucid Dream actually rubbed against this product and caused a rub off of pink jelly material on the base that will not come off.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

The packaging is a cardboard box that I wouldn't recommend for storage, as its size just isn't small space friendly and the outside of the box isn't discreet.

You'll get a small laugh out of some of the descriptions on the box. They're written quite.. weirdly and some of them don't make sense due to poor English translation. Anyone trying to read the box would still know what it is, but would probably be extremely amused by the lack of any sense made in the descriptions.
    • Not discreet

Experience

I'm rating this product 3 stars because of it's great use for a beginner to ease into a textured toy. I use it myself, even as someone who owns really textured toys, because I love the softness of the material. The shaft has a lot of give and when I'm feeling sore or just like I can't take a lot of texture, I use this to warm up or sometimes by itself.
Follow-up commentary
This vibe was useless and the texture is just not suitable for beginners at all, I've found. I've since tossed it to the back of my discarded toy bin that is on its way out pretty soon. I don't like the texture at all, and I'm a fan of odd textures on toys. It could be a lot better if the design was well made, but it's just too cheap to work all that well. At least it isn't jelly, though.

Thanks for the review. I really appreciate you talking about the softness of the material and the texture. I look for toys that are soft with texture, but the weakness of the vibrations will make me pass.
