Alien Fun

Even though it's named G-spot Commander, this makes a better external vibrator than inner. It's a fairly strong and rumbly vibrator made of body safe silicone. Although it has a couple of drawbacks it does have a variety of settings and features a synchronized light show. It also comes with a set of vaginal ball exercisers.

Use

The G-spot Commander is a fun shaped vibrator. It's shape reminds me of The pleasurepillar vibrator. As it's name implies it was designed to be used internally on the G-spot. I found the wide head and bulges to be uncomfortable for this. But it makes a great clitoral vibe. The wide head provides strong broad vibrations. It can also be used to stimulate other areas of the body. While usually we think of women using vibrators, men may also like the rumbly sensations on their manly bits.

Included are a set of vaginal exerciser balls. Vaginal balls are used to strengthen the PC muscles. Strong pelvic muscles can intensify orgasms and also help with any incontinence issues. It's a nice add on to this purchase. All my information on the vaginal balls is in the Function/Performance section of this review.

Material / Texture

It's made of body safe silicone. Silicone is nonporous, hypoallergenic, phthalate and latex free. It is easy to clean and can be sterilized earning it a 10/10 on Eden's safety scale. It does not have any funky odors or tastes. The silicone is velvety soft. Although there are bulges in the design, the silicone itself is smooth. The vibrator is basically rigid. It's not quiet as hard as plastic, because there is a small amount of give.

Design / Shape / Size

The design reminds me of an alien. Picture a green alien with a flattened head, arms crossed, and a bulge for hips and you have the G-spot Commander. The green color probably helped that perception along. It's not your stereotypical alien. Others might not see it. But once I saw an alien, I couldn't unsee it. I think he's rather cute and I'm not against some alien probing once in awhile.

The bottom portion looks just like an extra large green olive. Seriously the size and shape match an olive perfectly. The control button is on the bottom of the olive. The synchronize light show emits from this end. What, I didn't mention a light show? What alien would be complete without blinking lights? The LED light is constant at the steady settings. It is synchronized to the pulsating vibrations. It's pretty cool in the dark or under a blanket.

The head is fairly wide and flat. It's about 1.5 inches wide and nearly 2 inches long. Without a tapered head, it is a bit difficult to insert. If it is inserted the bulges can also be felt. It wasn't very comfortable for me this way. The wide head did feel nice on my clit and this quickly became my preferred use for this vibe.

The entire length is 6 inches. Five inches of that are insertable. It's comparable in size to Dream Massager G and Dream Massager.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Commander has 10 functions. The first three are steady vibrations. Most vibrators start with a low intensity and then move up to higher intensities. This one starts with a high intensity and then moves down to a medium intensity and finally the lowest intensity. This is a drawback for me. I like to start out low and then ramp up the power. I can't do that with this vibrator. There is no easy way to go from the lowest power quickly to the highest power. There also seven different pulsating settings.

The button is easy to push. In fact it is a bit too trigger happy. Brushing up against it will cause it to change settings. Even after playing with it a couple of weeks, I still had trouble avoiding accidentally changing the setting.

The vibrator has a memory so when turned on, it automatically starts where it was last. This is a nice feature for some vibrators. However it was more annoying in this particular model. The backward order of intensities and the trigger happy control button were bad on their own, but also if I accidentally got on the wrong setting I couldn't just turn it off and start over at the first setting. I continually had to scroll through all the settings to get to where I wanted to be. That got old real fast.

It runs on a single AAA battery. For a AAA toy, it is surprisingly strong. With a fresh battery it rates a low 4 on a 5 point intensity scale. The vibrations are mostly rumbly, but there is a hint of buzz. If it didn't have the two drawbacks listed above, I would be very happy with this vibes performance.

Vaginal Balls
The vaginal balls are the same color as the vibrator. They are completely made of silicone-even the connecting and retrieval cords. That is nice because they are very easy to clean. The set has 2 balls permanently joined by a connective cord. The balls each have an inner smaller ball that rolls around with movement. Each ball has a bunch of raised dots for added texture. Walking around with them inserted causes the pc muscles to continually contract. Regular use of vaginal balls can really strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. It's just another way besides kegels to exercise those muscles.

I thought that the texture on the balls might be uncomfortable, but it was not an issue. I barely felt the texture at all. The biggest problem with this set is the length of the cords. Both the connective and retrieval cords are 3 inches long. To use them, you insert the first ball and then the second. The long cord in between adds a lot of extra bulk. I didn't find it comfortable at all. It was too much extra material. Also the three inch retrieval cord was annoying. Here is a comparison picture with Lelo Luna Balls. Notice how much smaller the connective and retrieval cords are on the Luna. That's a much better set up.

If I was rating just the vaginal balls, they would get 2 stars.

Care and Maintenance

Being silicone both the vibrator and balls are easy to clean. Wash with soap and water, a toy cleaner or a 10% bleach solution. Silicone shouldn't be stored touching other silicone toys so keep them separate.
