Great Simple Vibe for the Buck
I really enjoy this toy. She has curves in all the right places. Great for hitting the g-spot and whatever else you want hit. You can't beat the price point for this kind of performance. Great bang for your buck! (pun intended)Published: November 30, 2011

Good Vibrations

This is my first vibe in the series of Astrovibes by Fun Factory. Astrovibes are a series of vibes spun off of the traditional astrological horoscope. Hence the name Astrovibe. Fun Factory makes awesome toys. In fact most of my preferred toys are made by Fun Factory, and this toy is no exception to that rule. It has to be one of my favorite basic vibes.
The packaging is nice and classy enough. It's not tacky by any means but not quite the luxury packaging that you get with a brand like Lelo. Although, it did have a cool magnetic little window door so you could peek in the box. That was a nice touch. I wasn't too concerned with the packaging though. I wanted to play! This vibe had no unusual smells upon opening the packaging. The exterior is a smooth silicone with a soft touch. As usual, you get a small sample of lube. The construction is what you could expect for the price. It's nothing exceptional but it's sturdy and well done. If you look at the base where the simple turn controls are located you can tell it's not the most high tech mechanism but it does what it needs to do. The vibe is shaped a little like a woman. You can make out where a face would be and she is endowed with a full bossom.
The vibrations were surprisingly intense for a vibe of this size and price range. I crank my Lelo Iris all the way up half the time and I never turn this one up full speed. It is not very quiet though. It isn't loud per say but it isn't quiet. I would say it's middle ground on the noise level. The vibe doesn't run all the way in the tip, and I didn't really expect it to be at the price point, but it hardly mattered. I could feel the vibrations where I needed to.
Now let's get to performance. I was VERY surprised with this vibrator. I really wasn't expecting much. It's about a decent 1.5" in diameter which to me is kind of "eh" when it comes to toys. I prefer something around the 1.75" range. But with Virgo size didnt matter. She had so much more to offer. It must be those breasts. Something about the contour of this toy hits the spots you need hit. Combine it with the vibrations, and I was over the moon in no time. I now refer to her as my pitch hitter. I own a few Lelo vibes, and I have to say for all the bells and whistles on those expensive toys they should have stood a better chance against this coy gal. Don't get me wrong, I still love my luxury toys, but those are for a different kind of night. Sometimes you just need to hit a quick home run out of the park. I head for my pitch hitter Virgo.
Cleaning is simple enough. I just spritz her with some toy cleaner and it's no problem. The silicone is not sticky and does not collect lint at all. She is not water submersible, and because there is not flared base on her (she keeps her lower half trim) she is not up for anal play so don't even ask her. She'll shut you down. However, she is up for solo time and couple play. She likes your guy. She thinks he's groovy in the sack.
It actually surprises me that I enjoy this toy as much as I do. It's an unassuming, straight vibe with a face. The thought of inserting a vibe with a face and boobs on it is, no doubt, an odd concept. But you quickly get over it. This baby has curves in all the right places. Without a doubt, one of my favorite simple basic vibes with a little twist. If you're looking for a vibe that's straight forward with some sass, Virgo is your gal. She will treat you right.

Has anyone else had this problem with the Astrovibes?
-
I have been having an issue with the dial on this toy since, like, the second time I used it. It's currently my only real vibrator, other than my bullets (I'm really trying to save up to get a good, strong silicone vibrator). So being that it is kind of all I have right now, that makes it even more frustrating. I'll just copy & paste what I said in my follow-up review for my Virgo:
"I still like this vibe, BUT I do have one big issue with it! I noticed upon it's second use that there is an issue with the dial. There is still some room for it to turn after being turned to the strongest vibrations. The issue with this is that it doesn't keep vibrating, it turns off! I have a big issue with this being that I use this while laying on my stomach, so the dial can be turned the slightest bit from rubbing against the sheets and then it shuts off completely and I have to turn it back. It can be frustrating. I have considered trying to contacting the company about this issue to see if maybe they could replace it, or if it is an issue with all of them and not just mine, but since I went through my toys and got rid of all of the non-silicone toys I am worried I would be left without a vibrator for a while."
So is it just me? What should I do about it? Do you think I should contact the company, and if so what could happen?

Thanks for the review! I've been thinking about this one for awhile. The boobs looked like they'd feel great ; guess they do! Bummer about the girth but it sounds like Virgo makes up for it in other ways.
