Yes, what a great idea! Every girl wants to have that special friend that nobody needs to know about, but the Precious Gem Panty Pal is NOT that kind of friend! In an ideal world, the creators wanted this tiny device to be used in the panties. A small bullet vibe would lay in the area of the clit inside the panty. The magnetic jewel would clip on the bullet from the outside. This much reigns true, but the moment you turn it on with the one-setting-only button on the top of the vibe, your ears are berated with the sounds of vibrating plastic and clicking noises. What was SUPPOSED to be a near indistinguishable noise is actually one of the loudest vibrations I have ever heard. I would never recommend this item be used in a discreet situation, but more of a time when you have the house to yourself. It is very difficult to convince someone in the house that you are brushing your teeth with an electric toothbrush in your room! With that being the case, the whole idea ends up being null and void.

The Precious Gem is made with hard plastic. The bullet itself is small and smooth. This makes it very easy to clean with a cleaning wipe. The jewel is a bit bulky. It it made with plastic, as well. If worn correctly, the chances of the jewel needing to be cleaned is none. It is always siting on the outside of the panty. There is no odor to this toy as well, which is great! Unfortunately, there may be the only redeeming quality. The toy being made of plastic is the ultimate reason for its terrible sounds. I have noticed that if I hold it the right way, it is almost silent, but the moment I let go, the plastic rattles on itself. It is quite annoying. This is a nice toy for beginners.. who don't care to be found out.

The Precious Gem has a cute design. I love the different color choices and the idea behind the vibe, but it was executed poorly. I am not sure if it was my vibe or all of them, but the magnets did not click together perfectly and if caused a rattling noise when it vibrated. The size is adorable! I did not realize how tiny it was. I thought, "Aww... this is so cute!" It is great for travel. To an unsuspecting eye, someone may think it is a new kind of hair clip, but don't let it accidentally be turned on. The noise alone will give it away! It is the perfect shape for a panty pal. The only trouble would be getting the bullet onto your clit. There is a bit of "moving around" for some girls. The gem could be a bit smaller. It is a but bulky and you CANNOT wear leggings or other tight clothes with it.

The Gem has one control on the top of the bullet; ON or OFF. The vibrations are intense as it describes. This may be the ONLY thing about this product that was advertised correctly. It has a strong vibration that, if used alone, could get somebody off if they were a clit kind of girl like me.. I would prefer a greater range of vibrations.. Maybe even a remote control would be nice. I just can't see myself sticking my hands down my panties to turn the device off in public. I would not recommend water use, since it was never meant to be a water vibe. (Panties in the bathtub?) So in all, the Precious Gem functions as a vibe, but is limited. It performs, but not as it is intended and the controls suck!

It is easy to take care of this vibe. Just never use it. It makes a nice decoration for your sex drawer, but if you do decide to use it, using a toy cleaner is all that is necessary. The smooth plastic is nonporous and easy to clean. The gem is the same, but if used as intended, you shouldn't need to clean it. You shouldn't need lube for it, but any would be suitable and it can be easily stored with other toys. If you love your toys like I do, you will go out and buy it its own little pouch to store it.

Do NOT buy this toy if you are looking for something quiet or discreet. I was so excited to take this out on the town, but was so upset that I couldn't even leave my room. I had a hard time placing in the batteries. (And from reading the other reviews, I am not the only one.) It was a great concept, but a terrible design. The gem was almost pulling my panties down because of its bulkiness, and I had to limit my clothing choices. It is a very inconvenient vibe!
