The 'Love' clitoral vibrator is part of the Day Dreamers series from California Exotic Novelties. It has a wonderful range of vibration levels to appeal to just about anyone; ranging from the very sensitive ladies, to the ones who require fairly strong stimulation on the clitoris. It is compact and easy to hold, making it suitable for both solo play and for couples play.

The vibrations are also pleasurable on the nipples or, if you utilize the rounded protrusion, it can be useful for anal ring stimulation or male perineum stimulation as well.

Made of hard ABS plastic with a polyurethane coating, the Love vibe has a velvety soft surface feel, whether you use lube with it or not. The toy is phthalate-free, latex-free, and non-porous. There is no odd smell to it, nor any notable taste.

This is a toy that feels solid and durable in your hand. Its design is fairly genius, with the scoop-shaped side, that seems to instinctively nestle itself between the labia to cup and stimulate the clitoral area, and the nub for directing more concentrated spots of sensation exactly where you want it. Even a beginner would have no trouble at all figuring out how to take pleasure from this toy.

The contoured indention near the base makes it easy to grip, so easy that you can use your fingertips to guide it. With that in mind, and being that this is not a bulky toy, it's also quite easy to use during partner sex for that little extra stimulation to the clitoris if needed.

At barely 5" in overall length, the Love vibe is small enough to slip into your purse or travel bag, and easy to conceal just about anywhere. It's perfect for those who want something that gives big results, but don't have a lot of space for their toys.

The Love Clitoral Vibrator runs on a single AA battery, which is not included, and the darker purple bottom knob unscrews to reveal the battery compartment. The bottom two-thirds or so of this same knob also serves a twist dial to control the toys speeds. It's easy to turn, but does stay put during play.

Though this toy appears to be a just smaller version of California Exotic's 'Heavenly' clitoral hummer, Love's compact dimensions lack nothing in performance. Many times when an inexpensive "multi-speed" vibrator has a gradual-function controller, there is little difference in sensations it produces. Not so with this little Love. We noticed about four differences in speeds as we turned the dial.

The lowest setting produces what may be the gentlest vibration we've noted in a toy so far; more of a "light tapping" sensation, while the highest is more of a "hammering" sensation that is enough to be felt *anywhere* on the body (and makes most places numb if you use the nub protrusion). The speeds in between are just variations between the two. The vibrations are far less intense in the scoop side of the toy though, because it is dispersed throughout the cup, so if you want the maximum pop go for the nub.

Love's vibrations are also milder at the very base of the toy, which is nice because even if you use it for a long time, your hand stays comfortable. The manufacturer concentrated on keeping the strongest vibrations right where you need them instead.

At the lowest setting, Love produces a quiet hum that is hardly noticeable, while at the highest setting it produces a mid-range buzz. You wouldn't hear the buzz outside of a closed door, but if you share a room with someone, then you may want to save the fast vibes for when they're gone.

To add to the already considerable versatility of this toy, it's also fully waterproof, so you can use it wherever the mood strikes.

This is a low-maintenance toy; simply wash it with antibacterial soap and hot water or wipe it down with alcohol, and it seems to dry itself in short amount of time. It is compatible with water-based, silicone, and oil-based lubes.

The Love vibe comes in a very thin clear plastic box with some product information printed on it, and there's a thin plastic slide-out tray that has an indention in it for the toy to rest in. We wouldn't consider it a permanent "storage box" because it doesn't seem like something that would last too long, but if you're careful with it you could probably keep the toy in it for quite some time.

It comes with a sheet of instructions, but they are not useful because the battery insertion diagrams don't apply to this toy, and the usage instructions given are for insertable toys only. However, there is a paper insert in the battery compartment that shows which end is positive/negative, and the use of the toy is rather self explanatory all on its own. There is an imprint on the bottom of the toy that shows you which way to twist to adjust the speed higher or lower, so that's helpful.

Michele says: The cupped side of the this toy is nearly useless for me if it's on its lowest setting, but at the highest setting is really nice. It seems to work best if I start with the cup to gradually work toward orgasm, and then finish off with the nub. I've also discovered that if you use the whole length of the toy, so that the nub is facing toward the vaginal opening, and work the shaft so it rubs up and down against the clitoral area, it feels just... Wow.

We've gotten a few toys from California Exotic in the past that weren't all that great, but if this is the sort of thing they're going to start making, we'll surely be buying a lot more of their toys!

Alan says: On the "giving" end of this toy, I liked that it was easy to maneuver, and that all I had to do was twist the end without interrupting things when I sensed that she needed more. It may have been better if they had put some ribs on the dial to make it easier to turn, but it wasn't all that difficult anyway.

On the "receiving" end, we found that while the finger-shaped tip did provide fairly decent stimulation to my perineum, it really went a long way for me in getting things relaxed and ready for prostrate play. It only goes about a half inch in, but something about the vibrations relaxes things for me far more than prepping with fingers or other toys does.
