Micro butterfly - strap-on vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Pillowpants

I was excited when I received my first assignment to review the Micro-Butterfly strap on vibrator. This is the first time I’ve used a non-traditional vibrator, though I had been eyeing these kind for a while!

When I received it, I admit I was a bit disappointed because there were no instructions for how to put the leg straps together. I checked the box several times, but it wasn’t clear to me how to do it, and despite looking at pictures on the EdenFantasys site, I still struggled, but eventually got it strapped on (though I still don’t know if it was correct!). Once on, I noticed that the straps might not fit a larger woman. I’m average, and my thighs are not particularly big, and the straps were snug. However, this could have certainly been due to my not knowing how to put them on!

And so I began to start, alone. The vibrations are definitely strong, and given the size of the butterfly, the vibrations are concentrated into whatever area you position it on. The butterfly itself is a jelly material, so it may be more comfortable than plastic to some users. The controller allows for variable intensity, though I pretty much had it turned up toward the higher end to get the level of vibration that I prefer. The cord on the controller seemed rather short to me, so if you wanted your partner to use it, they would need to be pretty much right next to you.

The vibrations were strong, consistent, and definitely pleasurable, though the intensity is not what you get from a hand-held vibrator in my opinion. Given the size of the butterfly, there is no way to get the vibrations to cover your full clit, only a part of it, so this affects the intensity/sensation.

When using the Micro-Butterfly during sex, I think this is where you get the most bang for your buck! It enhances without getting in the way of your partner penetrating you. My husband and I have tried penis vibrators (meant to stimulate the woman while he is inside), but they seemed cumbersome and distracting to him. The Micro-Butterfly did not, and the added vibrations during sex definitely put me over the top! For added pressure (i.e. stronger sensations), you can certainly put your hand on it to press it into you, or possibly straddle a pillow while on your stomach for rear-entry. Worked for me!
