Petite couture Amorous - rabbit vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by bluekaren

The Amorous is part of the Petite Couture Collection from California Exotics. It is designed to be used internally with a flicky tail on the external shaft for clitoral stimulation. I was able to use it to hit my g-spot but only at an angle that made the clitoral stimulator useless. The toy did feel really nice on my g-spot. I think the soft material makes it perfect for pressure on the g-spot, without being too hard. I found it very easy to operate the functions while using the toy. This item works very well as a rabbit. I had no problem getting the clitoral stimulator to reach, while enjoying maximum penetration from the rotating shaft.

The Amorous is made of medical grade silicone, so it is body safe. This toy had no smell or taste when i got it. This type of silicone is soft and squishy. This gives it extra pliability at the head and on the clitoral stimulator where there is a 1/2" tail that moves with the vibrations. It does not fully bend due to the motor inside that help rotate the shaft. Only about the top 1" or so will bend. The whole toy feels soft. The product I received looked exactly like the picture with a ridge swirling down on each side.



The Amorous is just over 9" in length with 5" being insertable. The shaft is 1 1/2" at it widest and gets thinner towards the end. I think this aides the toy for easy insertion. It has a clitoral shaft length of 2", with 1/2" of that being the tail. The tail is really special and does a great job of carrying vibrations. It can be used lightly to stimulate the clitoris or you can push harder to feel the rumble.



The bottom of the toy has a piece that comes off to insert the batteries. It just twists off to reveal the battery compartment. The Amorous takes 3 AAA batteries. The batteries go in a nice battery holder that makes changing them easy. It also helps if you are like me and don't like to leave batteries in your toys during storage. I just remove the battery holder before storing. When I want to use the toys again I can slip the whole piece in without having to figure out which way the batteries go! The whole shaft has a rotating side-to-side feature with the motor rotating internally, and the clitoral vibrations have a separate motor and function control. I found the controls easy to use, even during play. The Amorous has three buttons; one is a dedicated on/off switch, another button is for the clitoral vibration controls, and the top button is to control the rotating shaft. The buttons light up when the toy is on.



The shaft has three rotating speeds. The clitoral shaft has 7 different functions.
1) Low vibrations
2) Medium vibrations
3) High vibrations
4) Pulsing vibrations
5) Escalating vibrations
6) Fast pulses
7) Three fast pulses followed by a long pulse

This toy is very quiet. It would not be heard through the blankets and definitely not through a closed-door.

The silicone on the Amorous is compatible with water-based lubrication. DO NOT use silicone based lubrication, as it will make it smell funny. I found this toy very easy to clean. I wash it with soap and water or use an antibacterial toy cleaner for it. It can also be cleaned by using a 10% bleach solution. It is waterproof! I noticed other reviewers did not trust the waterproof label, but it kept water out during cleaning (even on the base). I don't think it was meant to be submerged. I will let you know in my follow-up review. I am just not ready to risk breaking my new toy quite yet.

The packaging was a white box with information about the product and a picture on the cover. The box listed all the features. The toy was contained in a plastic foam bag inside. I keep my toy stored in this bag in my box of toys. I like to keep my expensive silicone away from other materials that may not play well together! Eventually I will get something nicer to store it in I hope. The box was really too big for storing the toy.
