Q-teeze - discreet massager by Doc Johnson - review by Bulma

The Q-Teeze by Doc Johnson is a very simple and easy to learn discreet vibe. There is just one little push button that cycles through the 3 varying intensities of steady vibrations and the "off" setting, so there isn't much to figure out.

The material is TPR, which has some very good qualities over jelly. First off, it is phthalates-free but still very soft and supple. There really is no smell or taste to this toy. Water-based and silicone-based lubes may be used without incident or damage to the toy, which is great news for lovers of silicone lube. It is easy to clean with mild soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner. Be warned however, that while TPR is easy to clean it is still porous and not sterilizable. If you intend on sharing with a partner, I would suggest condom use. The vibrations transmit rather nicely through the soft TPR material as well.

Speaking of vibrations, on the highest setting I would say this toy is moderately powerful. Not the best pick for people who love intense power, but it would be a very good choice to those sensitive or new to vibrating toys. The noise level on this toy is really quite good, by that I mean that it is less audible than I was expecting. The toy, of course, runs on 4 watch batteries, so I expected it to have both the power and volume typical of a watch battery-powered bullet. I was quite surprised to find that I could barely hear it through my comforter, and if inserted fully vaginally it was completely silent.

Changing the batteries is easy, as there is a little diagram on the inside showing which way they go. When used mostly on the highest setting, the batteries lasted about 90 minutes. That might be okay for watch batteries, but I prefer my toys to last through a longer play session without scrounging for new batteries. The little rubber O-ring did its job quite well and kept all water out of the batteries while the toy was fully submerged. The cap screws on tightly and does not loosen during play. The push button on the end of the battery cap is covered in TPR which I suppose is there to seal water out, but I appreciated the look and feel of it as well.

This toy was most likely meant for clit stimulation, but why stop there? The rippled shape makes for some quite stimulating shallow penetration as well. Of course this toy is NOT safe for anal penetration because it is roughly the same size as a finger and it would get sucked inside; it lacks a proper base to prevent this from happening.

I mentioned above using this toy fully inserted vaginally. This is my favorite use for this toy, however there are some things that should be taken into consideration for this application. The toy fits inside nicely and stays put without slipping out for me, even when I become aroused and well lubricated. It can be a little tricky to remove the toy, so I might suggest a condom to make this easier. I can push the toy out with my PC muscles, but it may take some work depending on the individuals’ vaginal fitness level.

While the toy is inserted vaginally, the vibrations carry pretty well. This would make an enjoyable way to practice DP with your partner penetrating you anally; if your partner has a penis he would be able to feel the vibrations through the vagina and rectum walls.
