My pleaser - rabbit vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Research

When I first opened the package of My Pleaser, I was surprised at two things. First, the deep, rich shade of pink that the toy appeared to be (the photos suggested more of a light, candy pink), and second, the size of the toy itself. Triple stimulators, (particularly ones from Cal Exotics) tend to be very small, soft toys built around a bullet vibrator. My Pleaser on the other hand, is a fairly large, firm toy that seems to have abandoned the older style of triple stimulators where the two arms are only slightly smaller than the main shaft, and embraced a design more commonly seen on Rabbit style vibrators where the arms are tiny little things that serve only to amplify the effect of the large shaft.

Made of TPR, also known as TPE, My Pleaser is of a safe and high quality textured material that not only delivers some fine sensations but is also waterproof for those days you are Admiral of the Bathtub.

As stated, My Pleaser is made of TPR. TPR is a polymer compound that exhibits thermoplastic character. This means the toy is hard and firm at room temperature, but as it warms up from body heat or warm water it becomes soft and pliable. The softer the material however, the less effectively the vibrations are transmitted through the toy. My Pleaser addresses this problem by putting an extra powerful vibrating bullet inside the head, rather than a small bullet inside the shaft as in other models.

Unlike most toys, the texture of My Pleaser can change based on the temperature of the toy. At room temperature the toy looks and feels like a very stiff jelly toy. There is a collection of textured nubs on the shaft opposite the accessory arms. The shaft 90 degrees rotated from the arms is smooth and without nubs so the texture is effectively only along the inside top and bottom of the vagina.

Immediately out of the package I detected a slightly fruity odor, like the smell jelly toys often have. By virtue of the hard TPR material however, the odor faded in just a few minutes since TPR is not soft enough to retain much smell. Washing with soap and water (waterproof toy, remember!) is enough to remove any trace smells.

The design of My Pleaser interested me. Generally, one finds these types of toys to be odd looking, alien looking things with waving arms and warty hides. My Pleaser is almost floral in its design. The deep pink of the shaft, the varying thickness, the textured nub sections, and small, almost vestigial arms give it a very organic, natural look.

The arms extend out from just above the battery compartment cap and like the rest of the toy, are fairly stiff. The length of the arms is greater than on similar models to address the issues of the arms not reaching both the clitoris and anus simultaneously. The vibrations travel up the arms effectively though on my model there is a slight bend in one arm. That arm vibrates noticeably weaker than its unbent twin.

The entire toy measures in at 5.5 inches with 4.5 insertable. The length is nothing to write home about, if deep delving is your passion then this little guy won't do it for you. My Pleaser sets itself apart from the other triple stimulators not just by being longer, but by being significantly thicker. At 1 3/8 inches thick, it is a good bit bigger than the other triple stimulators from Cal Exotics. Being as big as it is, and TPR being the kind of material that wants to stick to everything, My Pleaser doesn't travel quite as well as some toys. With its vaguely floral design its possible someone looking at it wouldn't recognize it as a sex toy, but don't count on it. This is not a very discreet item.

Since small, multi-stimulator toys like My Pleaser tend to have a small bullet vibrator nestled near the base of the shaft where the vibrations will be felt easiest, it is interesting to note that the Pleaser instead has its bullet all the way up in the tip of the shaft. This certainly makes for deeper vibrations but having it so far away from the base and arms would normally compromise the sensations. The solution here was to put a larger, more powerful bullet in the toy to send strong vibrations up and down its length. While this works fine for the shaft and body of the toy, some sensation is lost in the accessory arms. The vibrations have trouble getting all the way up the arm, though at full power I find the Pleaser power the arms with no trouble.

The vibrations are controlled via push button at the base of the toy. There are three modes of operation: low, medium, and high. Even at the high setting the volume of the Pleaser is very low. Inserted, it makes only a soft hum and with even a thin sheet covering you the Pleaser becomes effectively silent. This toy is quiet enough to even use in the same room with someone, provided you are under a cover or two.

There is a small rubber gasket around the threads of the battery case that makes this a waterproof toy. I tested the Pleaser in a few different depths for extended periods of time and except for the battery going dead after a while, there were no problems. The Pleaser is a fine waterproof item and should make bathtime very fun indeed.

Small toys like this are nice since they are so easy to keep clean. Soap and water or an antibacterial wipe will get the Pleaser good as new. TPR is only slightly porous so it's one of the safer materials out there, but it's still not Silicone. This toy cannot be cleaned in a dishwasher or in boiling water, and if you share it you should put a condom over it.

TPR is a pretty neutral material so you don't have to worry about it melting your other toys, but even so you should keep it in an individual bag to protect it and to keep it clean. A quart sized ziploc bag fits the Pleaser nicely.

For lubricants, any water or Silicone based lube will do. Just avoid an oil based one. TPR is not made to handle contact with oils and the ABS plastic battery cap could degrade as well.

The packaging was your standard hinged plastic case shaped to cradle the toy in the center. The plastic is not sealed and you can pop it open without any difficulty. The name of the toy is featured prominently across the top where a peroxide blonde stares at the viewer with a blank look on her face. A small logo reading Safe and Pure sits in the bottom left corner. The back of the package has the usual boilerplate: novelty product only blah blah, not for internal use yadda yadda.
