I think it's interesting how different terms mean different things to different people, yet it's all BDSM/kink...or is it?
Can someone be into kink without being into pain (as in, their fetish is somewhat edgy roleplay)? Is it all about the toys? About the roles? Or something else? Are there activities you would call "kinky" vs "not kinky" and where do you draw the line?
